The Bourne, Westbourne

An absolutely gorgeous property, which was clean & comfortable, with excellent facilities. It had everything we needed & more. The wrap around terrace was a lovely addition, especially as the sun shone all weekend. Location was great too. Very near town & easy to get to.

There’s nothing negative to say. It was perfect.

The apartment was beautiful and we liked the fact there was underground parking and a lift as it the main reason me and my sisterswere travelling was for our mums 80th birthday who is diasabled so we needed wheelchair access and the apartment was large enough for her wheelchair which was great.

The outside area was filthy it had not been cleaned at all and was full of leaves and bird muck, The chairs and table had not been cleaned in a while and after a long journey the last thing we needed was to have to sweep up mop and clean. There were also no cleaning cloths available only 2 tea towels so before we could clean I had to go out and purchase some and also some cleaning products as there wasn’t much left in the bottle in the property. The wrap around balcony was a big reason we chose this property and it’s hard to understand how something that is one of main features as described on there page wasn’t cleaned and looked after. The towel radiator in the main bathroom was permanently left on and was so hot in there, we couldn’t turn off off. We so couldn’t get the hot water to work in the bathroom and we messaged to property to say and also to complain about the outside area, she asked me to send her the pictures I had taken and did admit it wasn’t there usual standard. She also did tell us how to change the water pressure on the system to get the water working which it did. There was no iron, which is unusual. Also stained and bleached towel in bathroom and sheets not ironed on any of the beds,. No welcome pack or instructions about property, we set off the fire alarm on the first night with my hairdryer as there was a smoke alarm above the dressing table mirror, and there were no fire instructions, and nothing you know about the area or finer touches which would elevate this beautiful property.. I do have some photos but I don’t thin it is fair to add them to this review, hopefully they will take note of my comments and make sure that they address it as like I said it could be amazing with some attention to detail and some added facilities like iron, ironed sheets and welcome pack, the outside area given the same thought as the inside.

The outside and furniture outside needed a good clean up, feel this would give better reviews to an otherwise lovely apartment.
