Ridge And Furrow Lodge

The whole place was amazing for my partner and I for a couple of nights. It had everything you needed, was exceptionally clean and the bed was amazingly comfortable. We just wanted some peace and quiet and we had that, very peaceful, gorgeous views of the surrounding area.

There was nothing that we didn't like.

We loved the space and cleanliness of the property. The owners were very helpful and kind.

Would of helped to have lights up the path to the lodge, but we used a torch so wasn’t an issue

The property was absolutely stunning. Everything was a high spec and martin was so lovely and flexible with our booking in time. Wish we could have stayed longer

Lovely location in the countryside with a view of the cows in the field - a relaxing area property to stay - clean and modern throughout

This is only suggestions not a criticism - a free standing lamp when sat on the sofa rather than the down lights. The single beds are quite narrow for adults,but it’s difficult to select beds and mattresses for every guest. A wok or a larger frying pan for cooking stir fry’s etc. the heating thermometer- instructions.we tried to turn it down(the owner kindly did show me ) and the oven,which I believe the owner will photocopy the instructions and leave in the lodge. It was hot in the top bedroom,so a couple of fans would be good to store in the wardrobe

We had booked as self catering, so breakfast was not included, however, we enjoyed the breakfast we supplied! The location was brilliant & suited us very well & we found the property quite easily using sat nav. The lodge was well appointed, with quality fixtures & fittings, the kitchen being exceptional. We also enjoyed the view from the rear of the lodge, looking into a field of cows, one of which gave birth on our first evening.

The only minor downside (not really a dislike) is the long path from to car parking position to the lodge, which is not a problem in good weather, but could be a disadvantage in wet weather. Another very minor point is that a small side table would have been useful next to the sofa.

There was nothing I did not like about the property.
