White House green home

Owner Sam is very friendly man. He is rapidly supported with every our needs. Good design of hotel and rooms, really hot water in bath everyday, big bed and tasty breakfasts. In public zone there are kettle, laundry machine, fridge, cooking panel, all kitchen utensils. Great service for paid money.

Everything was good

Nice architecture of the hotel, there is a swimming pool. The hotel arranged a good driver at a reasonable price to take us to Negombo.

Our stay was unfortunately disappointing. The hotel was not clean. The owners, did not seem to care much about their guests. We did not get a warm welcome with some explanation and the bathroom was not cleaned. The other staff that works there, mr. Nassmi and the gardener were friendly. The breakfast was insufficient, both quantitatively and qualitatively. The least good breakfast of our entire trip. In the middle of the night a loud humming sound started several times, it sounded like a generator. No towels at the pool, a penetrating smell in the bathroom, no place to put the toiletries in the bathroom, no table next to the bed etc. The hotel looks nice on the outside but the warm hospitality that we have experienced everywhere in Sri Lanka is unfortunately missing here.

We stayed at White House 105, as there was no space at White House 101. Our room was on the first floor which overlooked the swimming pool. Two walls were glass so good for bird watching in the trees. Two large comfortable beds, good A/C, table and chairs, wardrobe, kettle and fridge. Bathroom had hot water. Quiet location, easy to get transport into fort, friendly, kind hosts. Good breakfast served in our room.

I had a reservation already. And They didnt wait for my arrival and they said we are out of rooms. And that was at 9 in the evening and I was lost in Galle without a internet only because of them. It costs me 200 US dollars that night

We had a confirmed booking. When we arrived the room was not available-it had been given away or double booked. Or someone else had worked around the system to gain a room. When I looked online at the time, booking.com was still showing 1room available. It was still showing this 3hrs later. Unacceptable unprofessionalism.
