Beautiful place with beautiful people. Very peacefull with good vibes. I loved it! Amazing stay. I wish I could stay longer. Hosts very friendly and helpful, they show the best Cenotes in the area to go. They provide you with all you need to enjoy Cenotes - a bike, a waterproof flashlight, a life jacket. Hostel close to nature, Cenotes are very close too. There are many different in the area. You can walk, ride a bike or take a mototaxi to get there. Very clean and nice. High standard. Great for individuals, groups and retreats.

Mi experiencia en el Hostal Oro Verde fue verdaderamente inolvidable. Desde el momento en que llegué hasta mi partida me sentí completamente acogida. Este hostal es un oasis de tranquilidad, alejado del bullicio, lo que me permitió disfrutar de una paz inigualable. Los dueños, Dulce y Aleph, son increíblemente amigables y estuvieron siempre atentos a mis necesidades, desde mi llegada hasta mi salida. Sus conversaciones hicieron mi estancia aún más placentera y me sentí genuinamente feliz durante todo el tiempo que estuve allí. Además, ofrecen alquiler de bicicletas y equipo de snorkel a precios muy razonables, lo cual es una gran ventaja considerando lo costoso que puede ser directamente en los cenotes. ¡Recomiendo Oro Verde a cualquiera que busque una experiencia auténtica y relajante en Homún!

Initially I booked a bed to sleep in while checking out cenotes, but I got sooooooo much more. Dulce & Aleph and their two sons are some of the kindest and most beautiful souls I have met in this lifetime. They welcome you with open arms and endless love. If you take the bus, it will drop you off 5 min walking from the hostel if you ask the driver. When you are done your experience here, Aleph will at no cost drop you off at the bus terminal and make sure you are set. You may have seen pictures of cenotes or read about them. None of that can prepare you for what Aleph will expose you to. He speaks Spanish and English and he will guide you on a soul journey experienced by the sacred land, water, and energies his town has been blessed with. Nothing is pushed on you and his intuition will provide an experience for you that will leave a lasting memory forever. I spend time in open cenotes in the jungle surrounded by animals an nature. Got to do a morning meditation underground with sacred energies. To top it all, a call to his connections finished my trip with a night time horse and carriage ride, 4 km into the jungle to experience four cenotes at night. Dulce, his beautiful wife keeps the house clean and welcoming at all times. Nothing you ask for is an inconvenience here. For a very reasonable price, they will cook you the most beautiful meals, with local ingredients, lots of love,, according to your dietary needs, at whatever times you desire. I could go on forever, but hopefully you get the idea. Came here to recharge my battery and got so much more. With no light pollution, you see all the stars and moon at night, while listening to the harmony and sounds of nature. My cup is overflowing, my heart is expanded and my soul has rejoiced. We very pleased with our stay at hostal Oro Verde with excelente owners Dulce and Aleph and their families. The hotel keeps what it promises (and that's not a little). They offer tour around bunch of cenotes where isn't known even by other locals. And that beautiful experience on the fresh nature was completely amazing, which was explained very well by them taking the time. The atmosphere of building is quite familiar and you are quickly familiar with all the offers and procedures. The house is time-honored and at the same time very nicely restored and modernized. We also liked the interior design extraordinarily well. Of course, the garden you can do camping is unique. We were also completely satisfied with the room, In the interior, where the sun comes in, are at the same time the showers and kitchen are quite clean(they clean there every morning at early hours) And great are the breakfast times, whereby we found the concept with kind of organic breakfast ordering great, especially as the selection is large and the food is of very good quality. Generally the hostel is in very good condition, the staff are very friendly and helpful, all rooms are always clean. We can highly recommend the place and will gladly come back. Definitely here is the best hostel in Homun.

The accommodation is very clean and the location is nice and quiet. I can highly recommend a stay! The family that owns the accommodation is super welcoming and caring. We ate several meals there and they were all delicious. The tours offered by the host father are an absolute must. We loved the insight into the local nature and culture.
