Apsara Resort Koh Rong

Netjes nieuw resort hotel aan mooi strand.

Prijs kwaliteit verhouding klopt absoluut niet! Het hotel resort presenteert zich als een 5 sterren resort op Booking.com met zeer tot belachelijk hoge prijzen in de kerst / nieuwjaar periode. Wij waren in de veronderstelling ons op niveau te laten verwennen maar dat is absoluut tegen gevallen. Je kan maximaal spreken van een netjes 4 sterren hotel. Het service niveau is absoluut niet op 5 sterren niveau. Kamers zijn voor deze prijzen veel te klein met een incomplete inrichting. Je kan nergens je kleding opbergen aangezien er geen kleding kasten zijn. Geen TV, geen turndown service, voorzieningen in badkamer incompleet, geen laundryservice (wel geregeld toen wij erom vroegen). Wij hebben één keer in het restaurant gegeten waar het organisatorisch een permanente chaos is. Er loopt een zeer vriendelijke Belgische "manager" rond die naar alles kijkt maar niks ziet.... Lieve mensen maar met deze prijzen verwacht je een veel betere totaalervaring....

The staff were very accommodating and went beyond their duties especially when we had a motorbike accident. They have sent their driver to help us go to the clinic and find a doctor. The facilities were really good and during Christmas and new year the management were very generous to the guests. They gave us special gifts at Christmas had gave us a free dinner buffet for everyone! We had a blast on new year's eve. Breakfast buffet had a wide array of choices.

I guest for us, there is nothing to dislike in this hotel. Although there is a language barrier sometimes with the servers, it can easily be remedied in the future.

Restaurantpreise etwas zu hoch, aber es hat in Gehdistanz ein paar super Alternativen.

The staff was very helpful and this is what made the stay so memorable. The beach in front of the hotel is nice enough but not the best on the island The room is spacious and very clean but slightly lacks privacy.

We arrived on Christmas Eve and left on New Year’s Day and quite frankly we struggled to leave this wonderful place. The owner, who quite recently opened the hotel, has created a fantastic resort on one of the island’s most beautiful beaches. The owner is present for a lot of the time and she leads her staff inspirationally; they really seem to love her. Unexpectedly, the owner provided a free event for New Year’s Eve, including fire performers on the beach, a DJ and an amazing barbecue. Her generosity was much appreciated and we had one of the best New Year’s Eve for years. The rooms are very spacious and beautifully designed. The food and drinks were of the highest quality and so reasonable for a resort of this high standard. However, the stand out quality of this resort is its staff. Too many to mention by name but difficult also as each and every one was as friendly, welcoming and eager to make your stay perfect as the next. A brilliant team!! One final mark of the quality of the staff was that after we had moved on to Phnom Penh, my wife discovered that she had left jewellery in our room. We contacted the hotel and they offered to send it to us by taxi. Quite above and beyond what you’d expect. All in all, one of the best stays we’ve had for many a year.

Elhelyezkedése, személyzet segítő készsége, külön nagy dicséret a séfnek az ételek fenségesek voltak.

Sajnos az ágy (matrac) nagyon kényelmetlen volt és ez egy kicsit rányomta a bélyegét a pihenésre. A szobák tisztaság hagy némi kívánnivalót, sajnos a felmosót nem ismerik, ezért papucs nélküli járástól fekete lett az ember talpa.

Apsara is a still fairly new and well run resort in an idyllic location right on the beach. The staff went to great lengths to put on an extensive free bbq and entertainment on New Year's Eve, which was enjoyed by all the guests.

A gym/spa facility would be a good addition to the resort.... perhaps still to come...
