Allerton Loft - Beautiful peaceful apartment

Great location, especially for exploring the Penny Lane area of Liverpool. Easy to get a bus straight into the city centre. Lots of free parking nearby.

The mattress on the bed was a bit soft, but this reflects a personal preference for a firmer mattress.

Booked this last minute and arrived within a couple of hours. I called the staff to let them know we would be arriving and they could not be more accommodating. Amazing service and fantastic apartment. Will book again

Stylish apartment furnishings

This is actually 2 reviews: one about the booking and communication, and a second about the property we stayed in, which wasn't Allerton Loft - beautiful apartment that we'd booked. I booked Allerton Loft - beautiful apartment several weeks before travelling, due to its convenient location to our friends and events. I also paid an extra £25 for early-check from 1pm, and I was informed we would receive check in details half an hour before the check in time or when the cleaner was finished, if that was earlier. We arrived from a 24 hour journey from Asia and waited for the check in details to arrive. THEY NEVER DID. At 1:15pm I rang the contact number, only to be told by the owner that the property wasn't available due to lack of gas supply, but they could accommodate us at another property on Ullet Road. This was not what we wanted, but having been travelling for 36 hours at this point and with plans for that evening, we needed to get into accommodation, so we agreed and waited for check in details to arrive. We were finally able to get into the apartment at 3pm, the original check in time. Following our stay, I requested a refund of the early check-in charge, but nearly 3 weeks later I'm still waiting for a response from the owner. I am now chasing this up with booking.com. My advice is don't book this apartment, as you might not end up able to stay, and the communication once they have your money is exceptionally poor. As for the Ullet Road property, it was clean but was largely style without substance. We were there in winter and it took a LONG time for the apartment to feel warm. The lighting was what I'd consider mood lighting, but not practical for doing anything (like unpacking). The bedroom has very little hanging space. Whilst there is off-road parking, its awkward to navigate with several cars on the drive, no spaces outlined, and no indication who each car belongs to.

Great location for the golf course and good routes into city centre. Tastefully decorated spartment. Margaret ftom Boss Places was fantastic with information and local advice
