Lost Shore Surf Resort

I booked the property because I had an early flight out in the morning and booking.com indicated it was close to the airport. It was not close.

Ambience is good

I stayed at the Shore Surf Resort for three days, and the experience was awesome. The ambience is good, and everything is really nice and clean. The only problem I faced was that the distance from the parking area to their main reception is a bit too long. There's no one to help pick up your luggage, so you have to carry it yourself, and that feels a bit troublesome, especially when you have small kids.

The whole set up is very cool, laid back and safe.

The restaurant and bar close about 9pm on site; which we missed one evening, so was stuck for food a couple of nights coming back later. Ended up with Deliveroo. We just weren’t aware of the facilities opening times and should have checked.

We only stayed one night but what I saw was excellent. We didn't use the facilities due to our flight time. It was very convienient for the airport. However, we loved everything about the accomodation and would definately stay again.

The only downside that we experienced was carrying a 20kg case up and down the hill to reception and then on a gravel footpath to out pod. The resort did have some electric buggies which should have been used for this purpose and not restrict the use for the higher level lodges. The carpark is some distance from reception. The other downside that could be improved was the sizt of the shower/wc/basin. This is just too small and perhaps needs to be 20cm longer and 10cm wider.

Stayed in the hilltop lodges (no.7, fantastic view of the surf!). The beds were extremely comfy, modern decor and furnishings, kitchen well equipped (although struggled with the coffee machine). The staff were all super friendly and you could use the golf buggy cart to take suitcases etc to and from the car park. Would recommend 👌 Lovely smelling toiletries - shampoo and shower gel

We were there in May and had very good weather. I'm not sure the path up to the lodges is lit up at night. Washing up liquid would be good. Couldn't work coffee machine - a guide would be handy.
