The Begelly Arms Hotel

The food was really good. The hotel is very clean and recently decorated. Great location for exploring this area of south Wales.

The bed was a bit small

Location. Car parking. Quiet. Pleasant staff. Fridge in bedroom. Modern TV. with Sky channels

Poor choice at breakfast. One juice. No yoghurt or fruit . Toast piled on the same plate as the cooked breakfast. Just poor presentation. Bedroom. Room 7. Rather drab impression. Evidence of rain damage on the ceiling - not repaired and painted.. Curtains very faded and broken hanging fitting. Bed mattress old. Settee in room gave a cluttered appearance and it was far too low to sit in comfort. Bathroom. Broken extractor fan! Walk in shower did not have a non slip surface or shower mat and no handrail for any support.

Good Location near the main road. As it was a pub I expected some noise, but the room was quiet. My wife liked the towel radiator in the bathroom and expected rooms in an old building, but the accomodation is separate and much newer.

I prefer a bathtub, but the shower was good.

Breakfast was really nice poached eggs cooked to perfection. Service was very good and waitress was lovely.

No hot water in sink and bath on arrival only hot in shower. This was put right the night before we left. So without hot water to the sink for 3 nights. Tv not working on arrival but after telling barman he went up to put this right.

THE BREAKFAST WAS SPOT ON

The bed was so uncomfitable, the shower was cold/hot/cold without touching the dial, i wanted a cup of tea no milk, not enough hangers, rad did not work I THINK THE HEATING WAS KNOCKED OFF ,i frooze throughout the night.
