Amazing place, very spacious!

The host does not answer to messages. Did not send the invoice

Quiet, spacious. Beautiful old buildings. Delicious oranges fresh from the trees. Out of town but close to facilities. Short trip by Uber into town. Should have been a really great experience.

We arrived to find no-one to meet us. We called for help and they had no record of our booking. They showed up to let us in and said 'we could stay anyway'.. The gateway to the pool was chained. The rooms were clean but since they were not expecting us they had not been aired out so smelled musty. There were lots of pods but no coffee maker. The outside lights were only turned on occasionally so we came home in the pitch black every evening. Often the uber drivers were nervous to drop us off because the entire place looked deserted and closed down (basically it was) I guess the entire experience was that of staying in a closed down resort. With the exception of the beds which were really firm and uncomfortable. There were seven single beds (!) and all of them were hard.

Large property. Large very roomy unit. Modern and comfortable.Located in center of Coimbra. Large pool. Anna the booking manager was very helpful and a pleasant host.. The owner gave us a tour or the mansion which is a protected historic site and has been in the possession of his family for over 250 years. Is 1 km from MODERN MARKET.

If you're staying in the Coimbra area, or even just passing through, I HIGHLY recommend staying here - we had an amazing experience. The accommodation itself is located in the former horse stables of a several hundred year-old palace. The host grew up in the palace and is descended from a marquis - in the morning he gave us a private tour of the whole palace and answered our many questions. He was wonderful! Extremely friendly, helpful, and funny, even in English, which he spoke very well. Our accommodation consisted of three bedrooms - one with 3 twin beds, one with a queen (or full?), and one up a set of stairs with 2 twin beds. Two of the bedrooms were on the ground floor and were very convenient for one of the members of our party, who has trouble going up and down stairs. It was way more beds than we needed, honestly, but they were comfortable and everything was well furnished and clean. There was also a full kitchen, cute bathroom, and living room/dining room. There was also a large central garden in front of the palace - very pretty - and a pool behind the palace (which we didn't use, as we stayed there in October, but it looked nice!). We were thoroughly impressed with everything!

Unfortunately, the wifi wasn't working the one night we stayed there. We didn't see any other reviewers having wifi issues, and the host told us there was a wifi outage in the area, so we figured we just got unlucky. The rest of the experience was so great that the wifi issue didn't end up bothering us at all.

Some of the beds were stiff and some were very very soft.

As described by my 15 and 11 years old children: Warm welcome, beautiful garden and pool. The owner gave us a tour of his family's manor house. The beds ranged from hard to soft, making it perfect for different preferences. The house itself was very cozy and had very good WiFi. The location was amazing as it was 10 minutes away from the city centre by car. Would definitely come back again!

Nothing, but if you don't have a car, it is a long way from the centre.
