Familiar atmosphere, very sympathetic owner, nice pool.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. It took numerous phone calls and messages to get someone to answer and provide the room keys to us. The gate is not secure as you can just reach around and let yourself in. None of the rooms are marked. There is a putrid green non working fountain right outside our door. The beds felt like a large rock and pillows like flat jello. "Lake view and Garden view" are being very generous. There were just two tables with chairs in the gravel/dirt courtyard for all of the lodging. It is a shame because there is so much potential in the property if they would invest some money and thought into it. We ended up leaving after the first night and moving to a better location.

Very kind and child-friendly owners. Classy looking facility and a big garden with a pool, which is great for children (our son practised diving). Roomy and quiet appartment. Uncomplicated arrival and departure, luggage can be unloaded in front of the appartment. Supermarket and a small self-service laundry are close-by, the center of Coimbra is reachable without problems. Good wifi (limited to the appartment). It was an enjoyable stay. And last not least there is the charming manager of the tourist accomodations, Camila.

Some issues prevented it from becoming a 10. The mattresses are a bit hard, but may be that's just us. There are 6 beds, but only one sofa, which is some mismatch in our opinion, we would suggest an additional sofa or similar. A vacuumcleaner should be present anyway in the appartment. There were a few minor issues, like a dripping boiler for the hot water, and the light over the cooking plate did not work. Thanks to Camila, things were fixed immediately. An oven in the kitchen would be great, but perhaps the kitchen is too small for that.
