Frida's Cottage Whitby

Flamboyant, eclectic and different.

Stairs are dangerous only 3 towels & 3 eggs for four people plus sour milk. Poor value and do not recommend. WiFi info hard to locate.

Quirky, charming, colourful cottage. Spotlessly clean. Beds were super comfortable. Well supplied with enough goodies for breakfast for 2 for 2 days. It was my birthday so I'd been left a cake and card. 5 minute walk to all the town centre amenities. Close to a couple of good pubs if you don't want to walk back into town on an evening. Would definitely stay there again.

The steps are VERY steep so someone with mobility problems would probably struggle to manage. It does state it in the listing though. Lack of TV may be problematic for some.

It was clean, quiet and it couldn’t have been more central. Excellent location. The pictures made this property look very gaudy but I have to admit that when I got inside it was different but I did like it a lot.

Only one thing. The stairs. We are quite elderly and the stairs were a challenge for my wife as they were steep and shallow treads. Given the age of this property it shouldn’t have been a surprise.

Great location with good space to lounge, eat and sleep. Quirky decor and Frieda Kahlo theming was a lot of fun. Would recommend a stay here.

Internet was a bit patchy and on street parking was limited to 3 hours.

Love the style of the cottage. Such a unique place. And in a perfect location!

The stairs… be warned, there are two flights of very steep stairs (2nd bedroom is on top floor)
