The fact that they allow pets its a plus for me....it is a beautiful place

Very quiet and serene place.

I knew the property was far from town. But there was nothing nearby: no grocery stores or restaurants. Hostel had kitchen but the prices were very expensive: 1000 to 1500 shillings for a meal!

It was so tranquil - ideal for chilling out, reading or writing, as I was doing The staff are super helpful and make what you fancy to eat to order You can arrange a hike on the mountain or a local safari. I spoiled myself with a day pass to Mount Kenya Safari Club to visit the animal orphanage and swim. Purity's Jack Daniels Cocktail by the fire was great.

The place was ok but need some uprift, good staff and ambiance.

As much as all the facilities needed for the stay was available one had to ask for it as much as it was a must have, staff quite ignorant of the ongoing in about the place.

Unfortunately we did not get the room that we paid on booking, so it was not a deluxe room. We had no kitchenette and balcony as promised, so I think the manager unfortunately made a mistake in managing the bookings. The lady at the lodge (it's not her fault) said the only room left was the one we got, and otherwise we needed lo leave and get the money back. The owner/manager was not very good at managing the situation unfortunately and I had to discuss quite long on the phone! Also, mosquito net missing in the room, got bitten all night. That said, the compound is cute and the public amenities with fire place are cozy, the food was okay. Could have been super, but not very happy with the experience!!

what was in the description didn’t match what we got. something as basic as water running on the shower, we didn’t get that
