The Great Western Arms

I had paid up front but had to change arrangements as no facilities on a Sunday. Booking.com and Great Western each said the other should decide on whether I could change. Nothing happened, lost £100.

The location and little unique touches

Venue was extremely accommodating. Staff so helpful, friendly and polite. Food and bar ambiance were fantastic.

Gutted to be honest, as it ticks every single box except for the appalling quality of the bed and mattress. So uncomfortable for any person, an awful nights sleep. You could not move without the entire bed feeling like it was moving, creating noise. The mattress felt like they were cheap sofa beds.

Warm welcome, excellent food, lovely location.

For £90.00 for the night , I just thought it should include breakfast. 12.5 % service charge is a bit steep..10% would have been more acceptable..but then again I am against service charge, its discretionary , I know you can ask to have it removed and quite often do...but after a long day could not be bothered.

Elliot was very warm and welcoming. Couldn’t have done enough. My meal was the best I’ve had in Many hotel visits. Well done all

It was a bit further from the motorway than I expected but still a good choice for breaking a journey. Comfortable and very clean Food and service in the restaurant excellent. Good value.

There was a strong smell of bleach. The way the shower was configured, you had to step out at the end right by the toilet.

It’s a lovely quaint pub with great food and really friendly/helpful staff. The room was comfortable and clean. A great location with easy access to the canal and surrounding districts

Nothing it was great value for the money

We paid £86.83 whereas this place is generally listed for £48. Was in a hurry when making the booking. Had a view of the dustbin and the back of the kitchen. Very small unheated room.

Massively overpriced compared with other B&Bs in the area which are much nicer and include breakfast.
