The pools were wonderful

There were three of us in room and it was very spacious and clean. The bathroom was huge and there was a separate area for our luggage and the tea/coffee space. We enjoyed the view from our balcony. Breakfast buffet was excellent had a lot of variety. The rooftop pool and bar had great views also.

We had to ask each day for our room to be made up. It wasn’t clear when booking via Booking.com that 8 of the 10 pools advertised are only accessible to guests staying on the level that the pools are on. Also the rate options didn’t explain what the spa inclusion was. I found this confusing.

Everything about the hotel was amazing. The location being adjacent to the seawall was fabulous for walks and bike ride rides. The staff were incredibly warm and helpful. The breakfast buffet was the best I’ve ever had. The bedding was luxurious and comfortable. We were on the 11th floor and enjoyed a semiprivate infinity pool. And then the shared hotel infinity pool on the top floor was spectacular with 360° view of the ocean, the city and the mountain. The height of this hotel lends itself to watching the spectacular sunsets. We also rented the hotel bikes, which were in good condition and a very small price. We cycled 7 km to Back Beach. And we are able to walk to Back beach which was just a few hundred meters away. The location of the hotel is also great because you can walk the seawall to larger restaurants that cater to tourists with English menus or you could walk to the backside of the hotel towards the city and find all kinds of great authentic restaurants for lower prices.

The only thing we didn’t like about the hotel is when we opened up our doors to the outside we could smell the open air seafood market from the street below or what we think may have been a sewage treatment plant next-door.
