Fusion Suites Vung Tau

The hotel is definitely the most modern and aesthetically beautiful in Vung Tau, but it gave us a headache. We would not return. The cocktails on the roof were fantastic, and the food from the restaurant for dinner was very good (but quite expensive for Vietnam - think $120USD steak). The front desk staff were friendly and let us check in a few hours early on a Thursday. The beds were very comfortable with 5-star hotel quality sheets and linens (a big plus!). The view from the rooftop is beautiful and the hotel is well situated in Vung Tau for easy walking and exploring of the main town. The spa was wonderful and the staff there was the highlight of our stay!

The pool situation was just horrible. If you want a beach vacation and to sit in a lounger / get some sun, go somewhere else. You will not have it here. We made that mistake. The rooftop pool (accessible by all guests) is functionally a pool for swimming surrounded by seating for rooftop bar. There is nowhere to sit poolside. It is an incredibly weird vibe and the photos are misleading. There are several other pools on other floors, only accessible if you are in a special room category. They are completely covered with no sun access, so the water is ice cold and you can smell the mold in the space. I will say, our room was beautiful - we booked a king deluxe partial ocean view suite. But it has some funny quirks, like no bedside tables either side of the bed nor outlets! If you wanted to have water in middle of night, it needed to sit on the floor. Weird. The breakfast was by far the worst. It felt like it was laid out and designed to look plentiful and fancy, but was actually just dirty and low-quality. It was the worst food we had on our trip to Vietnam, and we are not picky eaters. All of the pastries tasted like plastic (or nothing at all!). There is a single espresso machine that works for all diners, and it constantly breaks. By 8:45am, every section is messy and not well kept or cleaned. The whole thing felt icky and we just ate yogurt. If any of these things matter to you, I would look elsewhere in Vung Tau. There are slightly older hotels who are more established and will be very happy to have your stay and money. Go to the roof at sunset for cocktails, you’ll get the best of the hotel.

the customer service is very good! I asked them to change the direction of the AC because it was straight above the bed and during the day they installed some shield.

Everyone was super friendly. The location was great. The breakfast was amazing with so much choice.

I cannot think of anything we didn’t like.

Pool breakfast staff

Facilities are good , view great , personals friendly and very verse in English. Location and transportation very easy to get . Nearby drinking and eating place are good

Since Vung Tau a bit hot , lobby can have more fan or portable cooling station as a bit stuffy near check in counter.
