Despite our initial hesitation because this location accepts only cash or bank transfers, we found the El Bien too be not only completely legitimate, but an absolutely delightful destination stay in Tagaytay! From the very first day, we were greeted and treated with an easy but professional hospitality, beyond our expectations. The El Bien Hotel is small boutique location with less than 20 rooms. Our rooms were modest in size, yet modern, clean and entirely satisfactory. Our package included breakfast each day, chosen from a handful of Filipino and American style Items. The food was delicious and well prepared! The service was friendly and excellent. The hotel augmented its staff with service industry students who were eager to learn and under the constant tutelage of the hotel management staff. Within days, we felt like family, greeted at every step with smiles and offers of hospitality. Our elderly father was treated with exceptional kindness and courtesy. We could name several incredible people there, but it would suggest that anyone was less than outstanding. Nonetheless, Andi, the manager, left us with the deepest impression in her kindness, willingness, and grace. She and Michael run a tight but jocular ship. We will miss them all...from the security, doorman, housekeeping, the kitchen and restaurant staff. While each traveler's experience may vary, I can't imagine giving a finer endorsement than to the El Bien! We have stayed in bigger, bolder, more expensive and renowned hotels, but none that left us with such fond memories. Tagay! Marc, Valerie and Papa ❤️

We booked the family room and the bed is comparable to 5 star hotels and for a group of 4 and it was spacious enough. We also love the breakfast choices from the usual tapsilog to french toast. Overall, our short stay is memorable, will definitely book again with El Bien.

Staff were amazing

Air condition malfunctioning almost every 2 hrs
