The Pigsty in Braunton

So much thought and attention to detail has gone in to the practical side of providing pretty much everything people might need for their stay, and the same attention to detail and high standards are also there in the decoration and the look of the place. Friendly welcoming hosts. Milk in the fridge so I could make reviving tea on arrival after M5 ordeal! The feeling of staying in a truly out of the ordinary and quirky (in a good way!) space maintained by hosts who really care about doing things well.

Bumped my head a few times before I got the hang of 'the duck and twist' on the stairs as I'm a bit tall and uncoordinated - but the risk of this is in the nature of the quirkiness of the building (which I like very much and would not change!) so it goes with the territory. This definitely would not stop me visiting again.

It had been so well thought out. A very small space but everything you needed in it. The small extras they provided too like milk, tea, coffee etc was lovely. There was a shed with bikes, equipment too which you could borrow which is also over and above what most provide. Very lovely host and great communication.

Nothing I didn’t like but if there was one thing that wasn’t ideal is when you are carrying a case upstairs, you have to duck your head and it’s quite tricky.

Excellent from start to finish. Excellent communication from very welcoming hosts. Will visit again.

A wonderful stay! The property was charming, full of character, and impeccably maintained. The host was incredibly friendly and helpful, making the experience even more enjoyable. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend it to others

Unique little apartment, quirky but very well executed. Had everything I needed. Thoroughly enjoyed staying there.
