"Great place to ground yourself in peace and quiet!!"

Visiting from Australia (almost 30yrs) being able to enjoy nature without the worry of snakes and poisonous spiders. The great view of the ranges and enjoying country style living of NZ. Also a great to be in close proximity of Whakatāne and my hometime Kawerau.

Maybe the flies when opening up the cabin to let the fresh air flow through, but very minor in comparison to Australia.

Last minute booking. Easy check in. Lovely and accommodating hosts with a hot baked bread loaf on arrival (delicious) . Location spectacular, relaxing and replenishing. Cabins are beautiful, clean, well maintained and had thoughtful little touch you wouldn't normally expect. Animal friendly. Great value for money. I would describe my stay as Secluded Retreat Escape.
