The Cosy Norse Retreat

The location was great. Main bedroom was good.

Hard to find, a lot of the information given was out of date. Parking was much more expensive than we were told. Lack of sufficient bedding etc for guests sleeping on bed settee. Bed settee also uncomfortable. Tried to contact host about broken outer front door but no response.

Muy amplio el departamento y todo muy limpio y agradable. Muy bien equipado y clara las instrucciones para quedarse ahí. Muy cerca de todo.

El departamento estaba bien. En general cumplía con lo publicado.

Al llegar al departamento no logramos conectarnos a la red de wifi (no aparecía la red a la que nos indicaron teníamos que conectarnos). Tampoco funcionaba la calefacción. Ambas situaciones fueron comunicadas a la dueña. Recién al segundo día envió a una persona a tratar de resolver ambos problemas. El problema del wifi nunca se logró solucionar. El de la calefacción se resolvió, pero a las pocas horas nos volvimos a quedar sin calefacción. La dueña se disculpó y prometió que iba a gestionar la devolución total del dinero pagado por el alquiler. Inicialmente se mostró predispuesta a gestionar dicha devolución. Sin embargo con el paso de los días, no solo que quedó claro que no tenía intenciones de gestionar dicha devolución, sino que encima nunca más nos respondió los mensajes que enviamos a través de la plataforma. Quedó claro que a la dueña le importó poco que su departamento no cumpliera con lo publicado en la página de booking. Ni siquiera tuvo la delicadeza de interesarse en resolver lo que ella misma prometió. Y hasta fue una mala educada al no volver a responder más los mensajes. Finalmente iniciamos un reclamo en Booking, quien hizo una devolución muy pequeña del monto total pagado en concepto del alquiler. Nos sentimos estafadas por la actitud de la propietaria.

Lovely cosy property, great location and has everything you need, very thoughtfully put together. Love the options to add different things to your stay e.g. birthday or anniversary options.

Free-wifi didn't seem strong enough to stream the TV.

Location great for walking to and from station, into the centre and to York Barbican Very cosy comfortable well equipped apartment which was a pleasure to return to after exploring York. Close to places to eat for breakfast and meals with lovely bars on the doorstep.

We knew the bathroom was downstairs from the bedroom from the plan and there isn't any way there could be toilet facilities nearer the bedroom.

The place was clean and had everything..coffee..tea.. Very close to shops, restaurants and easy to go to town centre.

Super close to the centre and not far from the train station, nice and warm everything you need to stay comfortably. The decor was nice and the neighborhood was great
