Sable Ranch Bush Lodge

The staff at the lodge are the real jam and asset. They went above and beyond for us. Love their hospitality and kindness. Lerato, Dudu, Martin and the New manager, the bar lady and the chef, you guys were amazing. The owner should be proud of this team and treat them like real assists they are. Keep it up. Chef the food was amazing I really enjoyed the braai dinner on Friday, the chakalaka was to die for. Thank you for the service. The lunch menu should improve to include variety of food so that one is not forced to have just pizza and wings. Add things like ribs, chicken salads etc. Martin knows a lot about plants and animals. The game drive was very lovely and he was patient. He also assisted us with our bags and making fire for us. thank you so much.

1. I had ordered cake via booking.com messenger and it was confirmed that we would get it as it was my friend’s birthday. The order was also confirmed with Botshelo the Friday when you was confirming our arrival time but to my Suprise the cake was not there in the evening. And the chef did not know about it. I was very disappointed in that regard which demonstrated poor communication from the staff. 1. I didn’t understand the notion of being forced to leave the lounge area at 21:00 when we were still chilling and enjoying our time there. The bar closed at 21:00 which I believe it is not right given that we are not allowed to bring our own drinks and we are there to relax. The rooms are not big enough for anyone to sit there and just chill, they are good enough to sleep not relaxed. The lodge should review this policy and have staff on different shifts to relieve those who started in the morning to enhance guest service. The reasonable time for the bar to close would be 23:00 at the least during the week and 00:00 over the weekend. The staff work from 8 to 21:00, I’m sure that can’t be reasonable. 3. The bar has limited stock. For a place that we are not allowed to bring alcohol the least you can do is have variety of drinks for people to choose. 4. The furniture is old. The place needs a revamp to attract guests. A bit of class in the bush would not hurt. You should invest in your property. 5. When we were there a family arrived with 4 children. The youngest could have been 5 years old. I was very disappointed because the reason I booked at that particular lodge was because it is for adults only. It was uncomfortable having to restrict myself and alter my way of doing things because there were kids around. Very unacceptable and should not be done to other guests or at least do not advertise your lodge as adults only so that we know what we are getting ourselves into.

The staff is friendly,especially Martin, may God bless him. The chef baked me a cake since it was my birthday. There’s this one lady who at least prepared my room for my birthday look while we eating our dinner. I appreciate her work.

The location is fair but the communication is very poor. They do not communicate prior to arrival, they did not give any directions on how to arrive or at least directions of which gate to use and what to do when you get to the place. We had to do the calling at all times with limited network we had because it’s in the bushes. I spoke to the new manger and I was told she just started her duties and she doesn’t know much. I will never book that place again or even recommend it. We pay alot of money for convenience but we were inconvenienced mxm

Beautiful scenery and animals to look at. Rooms were cozy and neat. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Game drive was fun and insightful.

Organisation was an issue. I booked a spa treatment twice and was not able to receive it due to poor time management and organisation.

The staff were very helpful. The rooms were clean Thumbs up to the cheffs for the awesome food

My room was close to the bar so I didn't like the noise

The Staff, The Food and The Game drive were all excellent. The Lions on sight named Jabu and Cindy were an added Bonus.
