Recently renovated, the property is excellent value. The location is also great, backing onto a canal and within a short walk of the main shops, but far enough away to have peace and quiet. The host Robin is amazing, and always keen to help with whatever you need.

We organized a massage through the homestay and wouldn't recommend it.

I had an amazing tine at Paddy N Canal. Robin and his family were extremely helpful and Mum was so sweet. The room was spacious and the whole property was extremely clean. I was made to feel at home from the minute I walked in. I highly recommend staying at this place if you want to be assured of an excellent stay in Allepey.

What a find Paddy n Canal Home Stay was. Robin and Rino are great hosts - hospitable and welcoming. They provide a very useful list of everything you need to know while staying there - right down to directions to the house in Malayalam for a tuk tuk driver. The house is spotlessly clean, very comfortable and in a lovely peaceful location beside a canal. I really enjoyed my stay there. Highly recommended.

This was truly exceptional. Excellent location in allepey - peaceful, right next to a canal in the front and garden and rice fields in the back. New spotless house. The room had quality insect protection. There was a balcony with comfortable armchairs. The owners were so nice! And the food! Very good breakfast and absolutely delicious kerala dinner. Many different little dishes beautifully presented. The lady of the house could easily run a high class restaurant!

Amazing property in a peaceful location. Staff have made a very useful online guide with things to do and directions , places to eat etc. which came in handy. Plus the brothers were always there on hand if you needed them. They organised a great kayaking trip and a canoe boat tour the following day - really good value! The mother’s dinner spread was delicious too- don’t skip eating at the home stay!

One of my best stays in India, great price for private room. Very new property with good rooms, terraces, and rooftop. extremely warm hosts Rino, robin, and their mom Mini. They are just so welcoming and helpful, and genuinely interested in interacting with the guests. Don’t miss out on their amazing home cooked dinner spread (order the fish pollichathu cooked in banana leaf!!!!) and wonderful local breakfast too. Rino was also so kind to drive me on motorbike to eat dinner late on my night of arrival. I really felt like I was family in their beautiful home.

Robin and Rino were really lovely and really helpful during our stay. Their Mother was also very sweet and cooked my husband a lovely breakfast. The hostel is in a great location, between town and the backwaters so it's quiet at night. You can go for a walk around the rice fields which is beautiful. The room was really clean and the bed very very comfy.
