Nice pool and breakfast was ok. Easy access on and off the property when you needed to go out.

The kitchen staff can be a bit noisy in the morning when preparing breakfast. Our room was just off the kitchen. There were no glasses in the rooms only coffee cups. You had to borrow from the kitchen and have them back before breakfast so we ended up getting our own glasses to use.

Pool, staff (especially FOH), the pool was exceptional. Location was top notch.

My room looked smaller than I'd expected, with very little window ventilation, and a glass door, so curtains had to be closed. Very pockey. However, for the rate I paid, including breakfast, it was fair value. It's fine if you're going to be out all day.

Our stay at The Russel Guest House was generally good and offered a pleasant base in Port Elizabeth. The staff were accommodating and friendly, always willing to assist and make the experience feel welcoming. The room itself was clean and comfortable, which added to the overall sense of ease.

There were a couple of small hiccups: on one occasion the room was not cleaned, and during busy times the noise level from other guests was noticeable. Overall, The Russel Guest House provides a clean, comfortable environment with attentive staff, making it a solid choice for travelers looking for a homely atmosphere.
