Villa Mazza al Vesuvio

Mooie schone kamer, prachtig uitzicht op de Vesuvius. Rustige omgeving. Eetgelegenheid bij het verblijf.

De weg er naar toe is erg smal, lijkt op eenrichtingsverkeer maar auto's komen van beide kanten. Met een grote auto kan je er moeilijk komen. Ook kan alleen de eigenaar het hek open en dicht doen dus dat is niet super handig.

Outstanding place to stay. Lovely place, vibe, hospitality .

Bit of a walk up to it from the station.

The villa is set to the foothill of the Vesuvio mountain, quite and rustic surrounding. Simona the owner is very comunicative and willing to help. Breakfast is abundant and you could find there different homemade marmalads (super tasty!!) Cakes and breads. Our room was large with a balcony and a beautifull view to the Vesuvio and to the garden/fields of the villa. The villa itself was renovated in the last few years and is pleasant and welcoming. You could find there some interesting metal works. At about 10 minutes driving towards the town center you can find some places to eat and drink, some shops and supermarkets. Napoli is about 30 minutes driving.

There is no fridge in the room (but that is *my mistake* not reading all the facilities list) and the entrance/leaving the villa is only made through Simona who opens the gate, but as I said, she is allways available! Streets to the villa are very narrow and you have to know how to drive there, for us who are not used to it, it had been somewhere between exciting to stressing, do take it to consideration if you are planning on a big car rental (we have seen a small bus passing there, i guess it is a matter of habbit)

Everything was wonderful! From the views out to the Mediterranean and behind to Mt Vesuvius, to the beautiful room, to the delicious food, to our lovely host Simona - it is such a special place in a gorgeous setting. Highly recommended.

All perfect at the property! (The road in was very narrow in spots, however - be prepared to pull over/back up for oncoming traffic).

This is a lovely place to stay close to Vesuvius, Pompeii and Naples. We spent two nights here and had a wonderful time. Simona was a very welcoming host and very patient with our two children and dog! We enjoyed a delicious home cooked meal and local wine both nights. Highly recommend staying here.

It was a getaway into paradise - very peaceful place, amazing views on Vesuvius, Gulf of Naples, and Capri. Simona’s house is beautiful, tastefully decorated, has everything one may need. We stayed there for 3 days, and visited Pompeii, Vesuvius and few beautiful trails on the Amalfi coast. After all day hikes and sightseeings we absolutely enjoyed tranquility of the villa and traditional Italian dinners cooked by Simona.
