Helpful staff, excellent location, warm and comfortable, easily accessible.

My expectation of the inclusive breakfast was a cooked one. Apart from that detail, everything else was better, or at least equal to my expectations.

Basic furniture, but warm with an excellent shower. Plenty of complimentary tea and coffee. Free on-site parking.

"A disappointing stay"

4.0

We've stayed at Mirfield Monastery several times before and found it comfortable and good value for money, which is why we returned, but I'm not sure we'll be back, which is a shame as we like the monastery.

Breakfast is self-service and there were no staff to help with difficulties. There was not enough food for the 8 people wishing to eat breakfast: only 4 eggs and 3 mugs of filter coffee between us (one of which had to be thrown away because the new bottle of milk was nearly off and separated in the coffee); the butter also ran out. Tea and instant coffee could still be made using the Quooker tap, but there were no instructions for guests. It's unacceptable not to provide sufficient food and drink, when guest numbers are known. Our room was not as clean as hitherto (mould in the shower grouting and around the windows and dirty skirting boards). Unfortunately, there was no heating at 7.30 in the morning and the hot water ran out, so I had a cold shower.

"Very humbled by the simplicity of this B&B. Would definitely recommend to fellow Solo traveller's"

10.0

The fact it was a working Monestry (for some reason I was under the impression it was converted to solely B&B) Continental Breakfast with the usual choices and a egg boiler/poacher. Egg on toast was lush. The staff were brilliant and said I could walk around the gardens. The whole experience of the B&B was enlightening.

Nothing not to like for me.
