We let the owner know in advance that we were walking the Dales Way. Also that we would be celebrating our Silver Wedding Anniversary. So many nice touches including an anniversary card and flowers waiting for us on arrival.

"It is a lovely room in a lovely little village"

We wanted to go up Buckden Pike and have somewhere to stay after. This was perfect. We asked at the pub opposite if we could leave the car there and they didn't charge us. We went over for a meal later which was delicious.
