Animal View Point Yala

Our stay at Animal View Point Yala was nothing short of magical! We live in Miami, Florida and this quite a wonderful change of pace for us. The treehouse room offered a unique and immersive experience with stunning views of nature. The hospitality was exceptional, and Shashika went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The highlight was undoubtedly the delectable Sri Lankan cuisine served – each meal was a burst of flavors, a true culinary delight prepared by Kusmawati. The proximity to Yala National Park allowed us to witness incredible wildlife, completing the perfect retreat. 10 out of 10 for an unforgettable and peaceful experience!

Shashika is a fantastic host...kind, attentive, competent. He cares so deeply about the guest experience. The location offers stunning views. Walks by the lake at nighttime were a real treat, to see nightjars and elephants and countless others. The meals were exquisite, lovingly prepared by Shashika's mother and aunt. We will definitely be back. We couldn't have asked for a better stay. We are so keen to support this young, motivated entrepreneur who has 'got it right' when it comes to customer care. Thank you malli. You'll see us again many many times to come.

Nothing not to like. We were extremely happy as we knew what to expect based on location and photos. Those who need luxury hotel amenities should not expect those in places such as this.

Very unique place! Ideal if you want to visiti some of the safari parks as the personal of the hotel helps you to arrange it easily! The manager of the hotel is super kind and helpful!

Great host & staff, the tree house is very cool, and you’re surrounded by nature and animals

We loved the handmade woodwork that the entire property has been finished with. Everything from curtain piles to shelves has been made from reclaimed wood, and is really awesome to look at and enjoy. See attached photos for an example. The hotel is pretty much brand new so it’s super clean and everything in our little mud hut worked perfectly! The owner is wonderful and extremely helpful and he can arrange a safari for you! The food was outstanding and the hospitality was 10/10. This is a brand new family business and has been put together with utmost love and attention. There are awesome little extras like shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom and good quality towels that I was not expecting! Wonderful location next to a lake and paddy fields and many opportunities to learn about farming lifestyles through the host!

We booked a Safari through this hotel - it was very crowded the day that we went so I would recommend trying to find out how busy the park is before you take one! This is at no fault of the hotel owner as it’s run by the Sri Lankan national park authority but is worth keeping in mind when you go to arrange your plans.

Very lovely owner and his Family. Put a lot of effort to made everything possible and comfortable. Great view from the Treehouse - what’s small but it was cosy and has everything necessary.

Amazing place, living in a tree house was always my dream and it came true here. Room was super amazing with tree branches complimenting rooms interior, and dont make me even start on the view from balcony, its Amazing! Sometimes in the mornings you even can see elephants and other animals roaming around the fields of property, super piecefull and calming place. Nice resting area with BBQ grill, guy who runs the place also supper cool and helpfull and he always smiles. Highly advise!!!

Animal View Point Yala provided an extraordinary opportunity for us, the combination of comfortable accommodations, knowledgeable staff, and amazing wildlife sightings made this trip unforgettable. It's close to the Yala national park and located in a perfect location to enjoy the nature with a lake. We stayed in a cozy, well-maintained tree house that made me feel at one with nature. The food was also awesome, consisted of a variety of local dishes , locally sourced. Staff was very helpful, friendly and they arranged us a good safari too. If you're considering a visit to Yala, do yourself a favor and choose Animal View Point Yala. Even it's new to business, this stay was a great experience compared to other hotels I have stayed before.

Amazing little nature walks in the proximity of the stay. Delicious dinner and breakfast. Best we had in Sri Lanka. Very new and proper infrastructure. Wish we could stay longer to fully immerse in the beautiful environment and jungle life.
