Beautiful 2 bed house near city centre - 5g WIFI

Really comfortable beds and I loved the reclining chair and sofa. The teas, coffee and milk was a nice touch. It was very quite at night and we slept well. Only a short walk to shops and bus stops

We had to go and get toilet paper, never stayed anywhere that did not have any at all in the bathroom, would have come with some if I had known. We could not get to grips with the tv, my husband left a voice mail asking for help but did not get a reply.

Very steep stairs and bathroom on the ground floor.

Location was perfect for us, house was well-equipped and a small problem (washing machine not working) was solved by host picking our washing up and returning it clean and ironed, which was a bonus! Slept very well as it was very quiet - silent even - overnight. On street parking was free and lots of spaces.

The house was clean and well presented, with thoughtful touches like tea / coffee, beer in the fridge, toiletries in the bathroom. The park outside was filled with blossom and on road parking was easy close to the property. The kitchen is very well equipped, particularly if you were staying there longer, and hot water is plentiful. The television offers useful streaming services like BBC iplayer. Good communications from the owner.

My husband and I are both elderly, and were dismayed to find the step up to the front door a really high one - found it difficult to get up. We were then really thrown to find the bathroom on the ground floor and the stairs to the first floor extremely steep, with very narrow steps on the turn. I couldn't manage these at all and had to sleep on the sofa downstairs. My husband managed the stairs but found the mattresses very poor - the double bed extremely soft and the twin beds with springs poking through. There is no mention of the steep staircase or the steep entry step on the Booking.com description ... not only that but the description actually ticks the wheelchair symbol that the whole unit is on one level! When we arrived the property was very cold - thermostat reading 12 degrees. We were able to put the heating on but it took over six hours to get up to 18 degrees. There is also no heating whatsoever in the bathroom (!), and the handle inside the bathroom door is missing - at one point my husband had to call to get me to open it from the outside. There is also no central heating to one of the bedrooms - just an electric heater. The listing also states that the house has a garden - it doesn't. There is a paved yard at the back with a single plastic chair. At the front is another paved area largely covered with ivy. There is a pleasant view of the neighbouring park / playground but that's not the same thing as a garden.

Everything was better than expected: very cozy, clean, good location, a park right next to it. I would definitely return.

This house was soooo quiet and one of the comfiest beds I think I've ever slept in. Very clean. Has everything you need in the kitchen and a good washing machine to. Private outside space not overlooked by windows would be great in the summer. Good communication with the host. Close to loads of shops and bus stop into town. The area felt very safe being a solo female traveller. I'm actually sad to leave and go back to my high rise flat in Bristol :( I want to live there!!!!!! Excellent value for money considering you get a whole house. Recommend to anyone looking to stay in hull.
