Nothing, all wonderful

The property was lovely. It really felt like home from home. It was clean and nicely decorated. It was comfortable and had everything we needed.

There was nothing we didn’t like

A very friendly, helpful and informative host. Beautiful surroundings and a spacious, clean and well decorated suite. I loved having the breakfast facilities in the room with a large home-baked loaf each morning, toaster and a choice of homemade preserves. I was very disappointed in having to unexpectedly curtail my stay there, but there is always next year.

The accommodation is stunning, well-equipped, clean, bright, and very pretty, set in a lovely location in the Yorkshire Moors. The owners were so kind and welcoming. The breakfast was a treat - home-made bread and jams, yoghurts, and porridge if we wanted. There was fresh juice and milk daily. Comfy bed, lovely bathroom. Cannot fault anything. We look forward to staying there again. Thank you, Katy and Stephen!

What a lovely trip to Yorkshire! The property is situation in a beautiful location, with views of the lambs and Yorkshire countryside from our room. Katy and Stephen were so accommodating catering for our vegan dietary requirements (freshly baked bread in the morning with homemade jam was a win!) Lovely hosts and would definitely return 😊

Fabulous location, quiet environment.

Bed a bit soft for our taste. Hosts weren't well so we only saw Stephen twice for a few seconds.

Fantastic location

Lovely host who was very helpful. Freshly baked bread and homemade jam were a lovely touch. The room was comfortable with a good view and had all the basics you need. It served the purpose of giving us a rest from travelling and a base to explore the area.

Its location probably wasn’t quite what we were looking for but that wasn’t the B & B’s fault. The closest place for dinner is a 5 -8 minute drive over narrow roads and you have to book. We did manage to have dinner at a lovely pub. The area is pretty and a good base for walks if you are into that sort of thing. As we are big fruit eaters we appreciated the small fridge in the room.

Our stay at Meadowsweet at Laneside was so lovely. We stayed there last weekend just as a little getaway and we would 100% come back! The room was immaculate, and there were so many thoughtful details - you can tell the owners Katy and Stephen have put so much thought and effort into making it a nice place to be. Our favourite touch was the freshly home-baked bread everyday! We spoke to Katy on a couple of occasions and she was super lovely and very helpful with advising us on what we could go and do in the area. The B&B is just a 20 minute drive from Whitby, and there is so much so "sea" 😁 Couldn't have asked for more for our stay at Meadowsweet, thank you Katy and Stephen!
