The Sandbeck, Sleights

The location was fantastic, close to the attractions but still quiet and away from it all. Loved watching the world go by from the balcony with a view of the sea. Previous reviews stated the bed was too hard but we actually found it really comfortable. Really liked the access to plates, glasses, cutlery etc outside of the room including wines glasses.

Parking was a bit awkward but we just paid for parking on the front and moved the car later when side streets quieter.

Great location, although it was rainy day, the view was still nice. The location was very accessible to the facilities and entertainment. The room was welcoming, clean and tidy.

Although continental / cereal style breakfast was provided, it was available and welcome. It wasn't what my friend and I found we wanted.

Very average, photos are a little misleading as accommodation is small and is only two bedrooms with a bathroom. Breakfast is on the hallway and is cereal tea and coffee- very basic. It was fine for one night, but would struggle if longer. Parking is free though and location is good.

Location and parking

The location was superb. The accommodation is clean and tidy. The little breakfast and utility area was a very nice touch.

The only issue was finding somewhere to park but that is not the fault of the accommodation.

Bed alittle too hard for us. Only stayed 1 night so was fine. Wouldn't deture us from returning though 🙂

Excellent location for all that Whitby has to offer. Great communication from staff. Nice touch of the help yourself tea, coffee, milk etc. Very comfortable stay.

Sadly the shower was a bit intermittent in the delivery of hot water. But we managed.
