"An underwhelming experience"

It's a large house with good sized bedrooms, lounge/dining room and shower room. There was off-street parking. Central heating was good as was the supply of hot water. Decently kitted out kitchen (but only one teaspoon). Netflix was included on the TV.

Instructions regarding the house were supposed to be emailed the day before. I had to chase in the morning before arriving - tried phoning but no answer and no voicemail. Finally received them. The house was cold on arrival (in Winter) because the heating hadn't been put on. No instructions at all for the central heating; left a message on booking.com and received an immediate phone call. Also, no instructions or manuals for any of the kitchen appliances. Supposed to use the panel on the back of the router for Wifi password - there was no panel. The TV had a FireTV USB stick. Messaged regarding how to use it. Still awaiting a reply. Kettle switch broken. Starts boiling, stops, starts, stops. Have to fiddle with it to get it to work. Leaks when pouring. No tea towels. Leaking kitchen tap. The house is generally tired and needs refurbishing. Various radiator thermostatic valves broken. Lots of chipped paint and grubby paintwork and walls. Gaps in the hall floorboards. Junk in one of the cupboards. The information we received on the day of arrival warned us not to make noise as the walls are very thin. Not kidding! In the lounge/dining room you can hear neighbours speaking/coughing etc. We had two young children who we had to keep unnaturally quiet. We wouldn't have booked this house had we been warned. Asked for a spare set of keys as we were two families. Was told to go and get a second set cut...

"Overall a great experience regardless of the wear and tear."

The location is perfect to get the Northern Line to Kings Cross and connecting trains etc. Also is conveniently located near supermarkets and Burnt Oak station, which offers a car park that's free on weekends. Rooms are spacious and parking is available on the drive. I also appreciated the hosts level of communication and returning my messages within an apt time.

Though the house was nicely furnished and had been cleaned by the cleaner, the carpet and shower cubicle was stained from long-term use and could do with an update. We are a family that doesn't wear outside shoes when in the house so I guess the carpet stains are due to other guests wearing shoes indoors. Having said this small recommendation for a better stay, the bedding was clean, carpets hoovered and laminate was dust free.

It was a lovely warm home with clean sheets and towels, and the cleaner was a lovely lady.

On arrival the key wasn't in the safe box so we knocked on.a lady answered to which we later found out was the cleaner. Our check in was from 3pm we were a bit late about 3.45 the cleaner said she had asked the owner to ask us if we could do check in later if possible ,the owner never contacted us at all regarding this. We had to wait in the car for 15 minutes while she quickly cleaned the living room ( bearing in mind we had just travelled for 5 hours ) we had a show booked for 7:00pm so we couldn't go upstairs to freshen up or have showers so we all had to get changed downstairs together in the living room as the cleaner was cleaning the bathroom and bedrooms .she eventually left at just after 6pm ( we didn't complain and we felt really sorry for her as it must have been very uncomfortable for her ) day before checkout we asked if we could leave our car on the drive for a couple of extra hours after checkout as we wanted to have a look around Camden market he replied that checkout was 11am ,to which I replied yes I know and that isn't a problem but could we leave the car for a few more hours and we never got another reply so we had to go home as we couldn't find anywhere on the street to park. We thought he would have been a bit more accommodating after our long wait at check in and the fact we didn't complain about it

"Für einen einmaligen Aufenthalt war es okay, aber ich würde es nicht nochmal buchen."

Die Betten waren sauber und es gab saubere Handtücher. Der Fernseher und das wlan haben gut funktioniert.

Uns wurde einen Tag vor Ankunft mitgeteilt das wir nicht so laut sein sollen weil es in der Vergangenheit Beschwerden gab, die ganzen 7 Tage in denen wir da waren haben wir uns extrem daran gehalten, allerdings waren unsere Nachbarn oft sehr laut und haben lautstark diskutiert und geredet. Das Haus ist für 8 Leute und es gab gerade mal 4 Löffel, ca 5 Messer und 2 Gabeln wovon eine direkt kaputt gegangen ist beim anfassen, das Besteck war generell auch sehr alt und rostig, nicht sehr lecker damit zu essen, haben und deshalb Holz besteckt selber kaufen müssen. Es gab auch keine Töpfe, nur Pfannen und in der Kühltruhe waren noch Lebensmittel von Vorgängern drin. Es gab außerdem auch nur einen Schwamm und leider keinen spül Lappen oder ein Geschirrtuch zum abtrocknen, so dass wir ein Handtuch aus dem Badezimmer zum abtrocknen nehmen mussten. Die Betten waren zum Teil auch eher unbequem und an den Fenstern im Schlafzimmer war Schimmel und die dusche im Bad war auch nicht mehr so schön. Die Wände könnten auch mal wieder gestrichen werden, vor allem die Wände im Flur hatten ein paar gelbe Flecken. Der Garten ist sehr sehr ungepflegt und irgendwie total verkommen. Es lagen auch einige Kippen im Garten. Zu Teuer für diese Mängel und mangelnde Ausstattung.
