Aloft Grand Hotel Ella

The only thing we liked was the kindness and helpfulness of the staff who assisted us with all our requests

The hotel is located between two noisy streets and to reach the reception from the bungalows you have to walk up a very steep slope. In the first room assigned to us there was a mouse and we changed rooms. The wifi very slow. The next day at 4 pm the room had still not been cleaned. Breakfast and dinner service exasperatingly slow. No beer for dinner although they went and got it for us afterwards. The night was cold and the blankets were not sufficient. The sheets were short and tight. And finally, the staff's level of English is totally insufficient even to understand each other.

Breakfast was good

There was no parking facility. It was high risk to park my car on heavy slope at hotel garden. Room TV was out of service

Horrible stay- didn’t match the pictures, they didn’t post the real photos and it’s not a chain of aloft. They lied about everything- food wasn’t enough, rooms were dirty( pillows, towels, bed), all sorts of insects were present in the room and every room has a massive water leak. I wouldn’t recommend to stay it was horrible

Everything was horrible- wouldn’t recommend to anyone- they need to post original photos- there is a big construction also happening- one staff was good at the reception rest all of them very cooperative. Had to checkout after the first night because we had no option and it was absolutely disgusting

The staff were ever so helpful. There was I much wild life to spot from our decks and the monkeys were so funny. Breakfast was good but took a long time to serve.

Our rooms smelt strongly of moth balls which was very off putting. There was a fair bit of maintenance required on the lofts we stayed in. Under the lofts were staff quarters which were quite noisey as was the generator when the power blacked out.

The property is beautiful placed, view of the mountains and temple. Breakfast was good and staff was super friendly and helpful.

We missed sunbeds at the pool and it’s definitely a 10 mij tuktuk drive from the city center of Ella, you can’t walk there.

The rooms were really nice they gave us a chalet which was lovely pool was really nice Abd plenty of wild life in morning The staff were excellent would do anything for you they even packed my tuk tuk and done us lovely toast
