Entire Two Bedroom apartment with sun-filled private garden

Very comfortable beautiful apartment conversion in a stunning Victorian house. 20 mins walk to Margate beach £5 in an Uber or a local taxi. Very clean apartment very comfortable. Great facilities we had a great time 😃

We were very disappointed with our stay, especially as the apartment looked so clean and inviting in the photos online — sadly, this was not the reality. The small front garden, advertised as a sitting area, was unkept, full of leaves, and felt run-down and unwelcoming. Upon entering, we were met with a strong damp or dog smell. The skirting boards were dusty, and the flooring was sticky. Each room had curtains falling off their poles and couldn’t be closed properly. The front bedroom was cold even with the heating on, so we didn’t end up using it. It had a broken unit (which my husband fixed) and no tall hanging space for clothes. The back bedroom overlooked an outside area filled with takeaway packaging, plastic bottles, and rubbish. The wall had brown stains, and we had to clean the bed frame and shelf ourselves before using them. The living room was also disappointing — the sofa cover was ripped with foam exposed, and both the dining and coffee tables were dirty, as were the chairs. Again, we had to clean everything before use. The kitchen was poorly equipped for a self-catering apartment. There were only two large plates and no sharp knives, frying pan, or colander. We were told knives couldn’t be provided for health and safety reasons — yet we weren’t even given a back door key initially and had to ask for one, which seems like a bigger safety concern in case of a fire. The microwave plate was filthy, and the oven smelled due to grease build-up. We were told previous guests may have taken kitchen items, but this should have been picked up by housekeeping. The bathroom was in better condition and relatively clean, though the sealant needs replacing. The shower and toilet worked well. The listing mentioned “Free Private Parking,” but we had to call the host to learn that the rear space was extremely tight and difficult to access. We came away to relax, not clean someone else’s property!!! 👎. Could not wait to get back home.

Clean but needs fair amount of TLC and finishing off ...curtains need hanging properly for privacy .. Access through passageway needs all the pigeon poo cleaned up and garden should be litter free to be able to enjoy it .. It felt unfinished , but once done will be a nice little apartment
