Russell Scott Backpackers - Sheffield

The bunk beds were comfortable, although we didn't notice until we got back at 11.30pm from our evening out that there were only 3 pillows for 4 beds. Unfortunately, there wasn't anyone in the office overnight for us to ask for a 4th pillow.

Sewage leaking at the bottom of the steps up to the hostel, which we had to keep trying to leap over. The smell was very unpleasant. It is very, very basic inside but you get what you pay for.

The slimey, smelly water sitting in the car park area. Drain issue?

I didn't have breakfast so I can't comment. The location was well located for the event I was attending.

I had room 3 which in itself was fine but I could hear the floorboards creaking from the room above me very loudly every time someone moved i ended up wearing ear plugs to try and block out the noise.

Great little hostel, the common areas & female dorm were clean and most of all - quiet! Breakfast included, basic but does the job. Lots of windows to open for fresh air. Heating was on for chilly nights, great job 👍🏽

Stay away of this place! This is NOT backpackers hostel! I booked two nights there and on the first night there was an incident of some guests having paranoid episode due to HEROINE OVERDOSE! There were women and men screaming at 4am and police has been called. They have then requested an ambulance. There was lots of drama, banging on the door and police investigation and some of the guests decided to move out in the middle of the night. I was not feeling safe to stay there for my second night and contacted the property asking for a refund. They never replied even after being contacted by Booking Customer Service. Stay away from this place - saving money on the cheap accommodation is not worth to risk your life!

On top of everything mentioned above, place is very dirty and there are spider webs in the dorm and bathrooms.
