Really comfortable, clean welcoming stay with excellent communication from the host throughout. The cottage is opposite a park with lake and playground and 5-10 minute walk to a great pub (kid and dog friendly) the Alexandra Arms that serves good vegetarian and vegan food. We drive to amazing walks along beach head but you could get the bus.

Great location for our needs (the local park for the dog, close to all the places we needed to be, and close on street parking was always available). The funky decor is lovely just as shown in the photos, and the outside space suited our needs. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped. The welcome gifts were very much appreciated.

The lighting in the kitchen is very dull and we couldn’t get the available lamps to work (despite trying all accessible sockets, extension leads). The living room furniture is not very comfortable to sit on.. looks funky but not very practical. We experienced the same niggles as others have shared in reviews for some months regarding the comfort of the furniture and the mass of wires in one corner of the living room. Also the shower bracket was broken away from the wall at one of the screw holes. Hopefully this can all be attended to soon. We also suggest a guest info book of some kind… to explain how the heating system works, and other basic useful info, as well as recommendations on where to eat, what to do that the owners suggest with their local knowledge (not just trip advisor).

Very tastefully decorated and easy parking would have been great for walking if it had stopped raining 🌧

The extra lights in the kitchen did not work and it was quite dark to prepare food

cables!! everywhere - not a problem but difficult with a 2 year old. bedding a little tired - sheets very bobbly.

The cottage is beautiful, very clean and great position. Owner very attentive to detail. Even had tea, coffee and sugar, was left a bottle of wine, biscuits and cakes! Thank you for a lovely stay.

The chairs in the lounge are very uncomfortable, the master bedroom bed mattress is uncomfortable, especially when you have two people in it!

Lovely little house with everything you need. Nice and clean with some nice little touches. Good communication with owner when needed.

Sofa in living room was very uncomfortable therefore had to sit on chairs and floor. Master bed mattress also a little uncomfortable and found ourselves rolling into the middle of the bed. Some things in the house showing a little wear and tear ie bobbly bed sheets and baking trays which could do with replacing.
