Quaint room and great location.

Expensive.

The team here are amazing. The rooms are exactly as described. It’s clean comfortable and easy reach of Alton Towers. The Thai food was exquisite and I’d highly recommend staying and eating here.

Nothing at all to dislike.

A charming and comfortable little hotel, in the beautiful countryside, just a few minutes from where we’d spent the day. The staff were very welcoming and went out of their way to make us comfortable. The breakfast was a feast, and they catered for vegans and vegetarians.

There was nothing I didn’t like.

Breakfast was absolutely fantastic and the staff were really accommodating to our asks. We're were travelling far from home for the first time and they helped make us feel at ease. The views of the garden and river were beautiful and is perfectly tucked away that even though it was only 5 minutes away from the alton towers resort, we still got alot of peace and quiet. The food from the near by Talbot bar was also incredible. Would love to come back for sight seeing.

If you are looking for the perfect place to rest your head after an exhausting (but thrilling!) day at Alton Towers, look no further than the Bridge House Hotel & Restaurant. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by how truly lovely and welcoming the hosts were. After a long day of rollercoasters, their warm greeting was exactly what we needed. They personally showed us to our room, which was absolutely beautiful—it felt so homely, spacious, and incredibly comfortable. The ensuite was spotless, featuring both a bath and a shower, providing the perfect setup to unwind and recharge. The Breakfast Experience The next morning, my husband and I headed down to the restaurant for breakfast. We opted for the Full English, and it was spectacular. It came with all the trimmings you could possibly hope for. Note on Value: While there is an extra charge for the cooked breakfast, it was incredible and worth every single penny. You can really taste the quality! A Personal Note to the Owners To the wonderful team at Bridge House: thank you so much for your kindness and for making our stay so special. You have a beautiful home-away-from-home here, and your hospitality is second to none. We wanted to let you know that we will definitely be back soon!

The only minor thing worth mentioning—and we say this purely as a helpful tip—is that we found the mattress to be very soft. While some might love a plush feel, it did feel like it might be nearing the end of its life and could perhaps benefit from an upgrade to keep those beautiful rooms feeling 5-star!

The hotel/Thai restaurant is owned by the Lady who also owns the pub The Talbot next door which serves English food. The hotel was just lovely, peaceful and warm (had to open the window in the night) bathroom was lovely. we stayed in the room overlooking the main beer garden area. We drank the beers and ciders from the Talbot as that is where you get your drinks from and had a meal in the hotel. the Thai Food is absolutely fantastic so make sure you book a table as the place was packed out from 5pm and eat there if you stay over. The Pub manager and James also both lovely and chatty when you sit at the bar. Well worth the stay over from Alton Towers and would happily do it again and we only live 30mins drive away lol
