Dona I Apartments at Botanical Garden

Wonderfully clean place. Fantastic views. Great water pressure and powerful showers (nothing worse than a dribbling shower). Comfy beds. Parking included. Not much not too like.

Be aware that the property is located a little outside of central Funchal and is about a 20-30 minute downhill walk. We did this a coupe of times but you definitely need a ride back up which isn't a problem w/Uber or Bolt.

Excellent contact with and support from host. Access to apartment was easy with electronic keys etc and fob for access to parking spaces. Parking space was convenient. The kitchen was functional and allowed preparing breakfast and even a meal. Apartment is clean, functional and nicely decorated/furnished. Bathrooms are of generous size and in excellent state of maintenance. Views over Funchal bay were fantastic and the apartment is very conveniently located for visits at the botanical garden and as a base to explore Madeira (close to express road). There is even a lift that, provided you have the key (which we did) brings you directly into the apartment.

We shared the apartment with friends and the allocation of the bedrooms was a bit tricky as one bedroom is vastly superior to the second one that is located to the rear of the property (lacks the glorious view over the bay of Funchal) and has two beds instead of a double bed and is not en-suite). Also the second bathroom that is adjacent to the living space (kitchen, lounge area) has a sliding door and hence is not very well noise insulated; that can be a bit embarrassing as it lacks privacy. A normal door (there is space) would help here.

Apparemment tout neuf, très propre avec une très belle vue. La communication avec Andriena et le check in check out très faciles. Les petites attentions café fruits et petits gâteaux appréciables.

L’appartement est situé sur les hauteurs. On peut aller au centre à pied en 30 mn en empruntant une rue qui descend directement. Par contre la remontée à pied est très difficile car elle est vraiment raide. Par ailleurs une petite armoire dans la chambre aurait été un plus.

L’appartement est très bien situé. Nous avons logé au dernier étage et quelle vue incroyable sur Funchal et l’océan. Un régal pour les yeux aux levers et couchers de soleil. Nous avons adoré! Concernant les équipements, il est très bien fourni (ustensile de cuisine etc). Les lits sont confortables et la chambre parentale est superbe). Cerise sur le gâteau, l’ascenseur amène directement dans le logement (via une clé), c’est assez surprenant. Le parking est assez grand. Et même si la rue menant au logement grimpe, avec l’habitude ça devient assez facile d’y entrer (et puis quand on vient à Madère, on sait à quoi s’attendre). Nous avons adoré séjourner dans ce logement et je n’hésiterai pas à revenir quand je reviendrai sur Madère, c’est sûr!!

Nous n’avons absolument rien à reprocher. Nous suggérons néanmoins d’ajouter une table basse devant le canapé pour pouvoir poser une verre ainsi qu’une petite lampe « d’ambiance » à côté de la télé pour le soir.

Un peu difficile de revenir du centre de Funchal à pieds, ça monte vraiment…

Très bel appartement bien situé, spacieux avec 2 balcons belles vues. Très bien équipé et avec quelques fruits et un petit dej.,sopalin, huile olive, sel poivre café thé, produits lave-vaisselle et lessive…belle résidence sécurisée avec place parking. Je recommande.

L’appartement a une magnifique vue sur Funchal. Il est lumineux et très confortable avec tout le nécessaire pour passer un agréable séjour.
