Nice location, local to shops, pubs and restaurants , lovely and homely, very clean, everything you needed for a few days away, hot tub was a great bonus

The room was so nice and clean, it smelled amazing! Really enjoyed our stay

The property is so well looked after, the little touches here and there really make it cosy and welcoming. The cottage smelled beautiful and everywhere was immaculate. Plenty of amenities were provided; towels, milk, tea, coffee, sugar, bedding etc. The property was lovely and warm and the perfect size for my family (2 adults, 2 kids aged 13 & 10). The bathroom was lovely, as was the kitchen. It really felt like a home away from home!

The ONLY thing that wasn’t perfect was the mattresses, but I have a bad back and sleep on a specific mattress at home.

The property was in a fantastic location with many pubs and restaurants in walking distance and also a short drive to walk some beautiful Lake District trails

We found the property incredibly dirty. After our first night in the property I messaged the host to make them aware of this. Hoping for some sort of acknowledgement or apology. Of which I never even got a response. The towels had brown stains on them which was massively off putting, we ended up buying our own towels to use. Dead spiders were found on dishes in the cupboards. Mattress was stained. The hot tub was hugely overfilled stopping us from being able to use it. I wasn’t going to write a review because I feel as though my experience might not be everyone’s but after Helen the host couldn’t even muster up the courage to answer my message. I felt as though I have been left without a choice.
