Honeysuckle Cottage & Whinfell Studio

The rooms were nicely decorated and the hot tub was super. The location was ideal and very close to all amenities. Very nice that they have a selection of books and games for all the family and basic equipment provided.

Requested an early check in and understandably they were unable to accommodate due to previous guest. At 3pm ( which was their stated check in time) I texted for the key box details and got no response, at 3.30 we made our way to the property to find it unlocked and no one there. After a phone call someone arrived and we were able to enter but communication was poor. We were told that the host would confirm the lock box number, as the girl was unsure and this never happened, thank fully it was correct. We found very mouldy bread in the bread bin ( clearly been there a while) despite having to wait for cleaning.

The hot tub didn’t keep its temperature for a long time so had to get our sooner than we liked but we did book late so maybe that’s why

Small Kitchenette but usable.

We had a very nice stay in this beautiful studio. It’s a lovely space with lots of thoughtful little touches that really make the stay feel special, such as the lit-up candles and other small details designed to make guests feel comfortable. The furnishings are beautiful and modern, and everything feels very well put together. There’s a TV with access to Netflix and other streaming services, which was great for relaxing in the evening. The small kitchen area is perfect and has everything you could need during your stay. The shower room is modern and lovely, and the whole studio was exceptionally clean and smelled fresh as soon as we arrived. Outside, there’s a lovely private yard with a fantastic hot tub. The hot tub was very clean and surrounded by beautiful twinkly lights in the yard, which made it feel really cosy and relaxing at night. The location is also ideal — very central and within walking distance to town, but still quiet and peaceful while you’re relaxing in the hot tub. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend it. Very good value for money.

Great location close to the Penrith train station and in the middle of all amenities. Hot tub was great for relaxing after a walk in the Lakes close by. Very clean and very quaint.
