Lavender Retreat Shepherds Hut with private hot tub

Lovely location and stay. Hot tub was easy to use and had lovely views. Easy to find and comfortable stay.

The hot tub was lovely

From the beginning it was a recipe for disaster! The road leading up to the hut was horrendous, so many pot holes! If this isn’t owned by them then they should at least worn people before they arrive. The hosts gave a very cold first impression with all the rules of what to do and what not to do from first entry. A nice welcome sign to start with would have been a nice touch. The hut was freezing, the hot water took ages to get warm up because they make each guest turn off the hot water on exit. Overall, not very good value for money when we considered finding alternative accomodation at 11pm because it was too cold to sleep in the hut

The views are magnificent, unspoilt nature at its finest in a secluded spot! The Shepard’s hut was cosy, warm and the bed was unbelievably comfortable! Hot tub was wonderful, we heard owls at night and fabulous bird song in the morning 😊 Came home feeling relaxed and recharged.

Great location and value for money. Very cozy on a cold evening and good facilities. Hot tub was glorious!

Check out is a touch early when you are expected to strip beds, wash pots and clean up. None of which are a problem, but on a weekend break it’s a bit unfair to have to get up early to do all those things and be out by 10am. Also hot tub curfew is quite early.

I had an amazing stay at The Lavender Retreat! The location was peaceful, with breathtaking views that made every morning feel special. The hot tub was a fantastic addition—perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. Everything about the stay was smooth and effortless, from check-in to check-out. The space was clean, comfortable. I highly recommend this retreat to anyone looking for a serene and rejuvenating escape!

That’s the first time I’ve paid for a stay in anywhere where you are expected to strip off the bedding and clean the appliances you’ve used after yourself. When we arrived and I wanted to make a tea the cups were very dirty Dark in the hot tub area small light could help;)

Another fabulous stay at my favourite little bolthole. I originally booked for one night, but decided to book a second night too. I'm so glad I did as I really got to relax & enjoy the full holistic experience. It's a truly beautiful & tranquil place...great for mind, body, spirit & soul. The hot-tub was fantastic....such an invigorating experience on a cold February day....to be immersed in those hot steamy bubbles....with a fabulous view of the countryside & Roaches hills/mountains. I also used the hot-tub in the evening....just looking up at the stars & hearing an owl hooting in the distance...absolute heaven. The Shepherd's hut is warm & cosy & has everything you need...even a corkscrew. Lots of attention to detail. Shower was hot & the tap water is actually Spring water....it tastes delicious. Staff are lovely & leave you to relax & enjoy the experience. However, if there's any issues it's easy enough to make contact via the booking app. Thanks so much for an another fab stay team Hen Cloud/Roaches Retreats 💖 I'll definitely be returning soon 💖☺️

The place itself is fabulous 10/10 👌 My only niggle is the track getting there....I always worry I'm going to pop a tyre as it's so bumpy & full of ditches 😬 However, I totally get that it's private land & part of a working farm & so tractors etc are coming and going.
