Mill Cottage Garden Studio nr Melrose

We loved everything! We had booked Mill Cottage as we were looking for something a wee bit different. We go away often but normally to bigger city’s. We stumbled upon mill cottage and took a road trip from Glasgow, stopping at tourist spots along the way. Jane was there to meet us on arrival and couldn’t be any more helpful. The accommodation itself was absolutely beautiful. The photos do it no justice at all. You could literally eat your dinner off the floor. It was a lot bigger than we expected too. There’s everything you could possibly need for your stay. On the morning we were leaving Jane came to ask how our stay was. She told us not to rush away. We stayed an extra hour just chilling before the drive home. We will definitely be back for longer next time.

There’s nothing we didn’t like. If I was to be very picky the bed was a wee bit firm for me however, I’m not a great sleeper. My partner loved it!

Such a beautiful studio, very comfortable and extremely clean and well equipped for a few days away. Owner very friendly and happy to advise to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

Jane is a wonderful, caring host. The bed was so comfortable, the shower was amazing, there are many lovely touches to make you feel welcome, including delicious biscuits and high-quality coffee. Such amazing value for money. It is in a beautiful village with wonderful walks on your doorstep, yet an ideal base for exploring the other borders towns and a short drive to the station for a train trip into Edinburgh. I am sure future trips will include another stay at Mill Cottage Garden Studio.

We werden door Jane supervriendelijk opgehaald van het station in Tweedbank, toen we door vertraagde bussen de trein moesten nemen. Ze is echt heel gastvrij!

A fabulous place to stay. Jane, the host, was lovely and very welcoming. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to explore Melrose and the surrounding area. Would definitely return.

The host has provided excellent accommodation in a lovely village location close to Melrose. The studio is modern, spotlessly clean and well appointed. Facilities are excellent and sufficient to allow for self catering. The village is charming and locals are friendly. The host is friendly and helpful without being intrusive. I'd stay here again.

We had a wonderful two-night stay at the studio. It has everything you could need including comfy bed, kitchenette, spacious bathroom with great shower, wifi and lovely soft furnishings. Jane, the owner, provided us with really helpful information ahead of our trip about places to eat and visit, and very kindly gifted us a bottle of bubbly as it was our anniversary - a lovely and thoughtful touch! We loved our short trip and can't recommend Mill Cottage studio highly enough.

Compact and thoughtfully furnished to a high standard. Everything we needed for a short stay .Great location for walks to Melrose and surrounding area,lovely restaurants and quirky shops nearby .
