The location and decor was great and Saber was very helpful..It was a great space for the time we were there.

The location was perfect, although a little difficult to find at the start. Only a few minutes walk from the main Medina, close to a large selection of restaurants and bars. Quiet location, well lit and felt very safe. Riad was very clean and cool, beds and pillows very comfortable, we all slept very well. Breakfast was a delight and just what we needed.

Furniture on the roof terrace could have been more comfortable.

Riad Al Macan is a very conveniently located 2 storey house just off the main street leading to the Medina. This is huge since it was very easy access, no help was required to find our way in and out. The rooms were comfortable but like most riads , require sturdy legs to negotiate the stairs. 3 bedrooms on the first floor and 1 on the terrace, a spacious sitting and dining area with a kitchen. The breakfast was Moroccan meets continental and Sanaa was a very efficient and pleasant lady who made the breakfast and beds. All communication with the Riad was concise and our queries were attended to promptly. We couldn’t have asked for a better place.

The stairs were a tad tiring. While most Riads are similar not having a toilet on the ground floor meant more climbing.

The interior design is fantastic, and the beds are really comfortable. The location is good if you want to explore souks and marketplace.

On the downside,the shower drainage isn’t great; water builds up easily, which makes showering a hassle and risk for flood in the room. Shower rooms have no door or lock as well. One of the lights in the room wasn't working, and when we mentioned it to the cleaning lady at night, she initially said it would be fixed right away but then changed her answer to next day. Unfortunately, when we returned from our tour the next day, the light was still out. So the lights from one of the room did not work during our whole stay. Breakfast is served from 9 to 11 in the morning, which is pretty late since all our tours start at 9. We inquired about how to get our included breakfast and we agreed that the cleaning lady will leave some food for us, like eggs, bread, or milk. But on our last day, we found that no food had been left. Luckily, we had bought some food from outside!

The location was fine. Daily breakfast was also good.

Power trips happened when we were there a few times. Later we discovered that we could not use too many electrical devices at one time. After being more cautious with our usage, we were fine.

The riad is beautiful. I loved staying here.
