Visitation Hotel Fredrick, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Excellent location. We walked to the park, to the national museum of civial war medicine, and to market street where all the cafes, shops, and restaurants are. Rooms are spacious, beautifully lit, and very comfortable. Staff are friendly and efficient. We definitely got our money's worth.

A pool or jacuzzi would have been a nice touch.

I got lost walking around the hotel.

The hotel was overall excellent. It is an elegant hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The first room that they put us in was right below a very busy bar and restaurant - and they graciously moved us to a very nice room in a very quiet corner of the hotel. And the location near the center of Frederick is convenient.

Breakfast was the lone disappointment of the hotel. They have a nice coffee kiosk with some pastries and a few breakfast sandwiches. But, lacking in fresh fruit, and not possible for example to order a plate of fried or scrambled eggs.

Very clean amenities. Was very comfortable and loved everything they had to offer.

Loved the free bike rental, champagne for two and how easy it was to get around.

Problem with the heat , windows are not insulated . The rooms was very cold We actually had to move because our room was so cold

We were looking for a little more personal/private space, but that was just a mismatch between our needs and aspirational expectations. The facility is gorgeous.

The rooms were decorated nicely and the blackout curtains and bed made sleep much easier.

There are several kinks they need to work out. The valet system is not necessary. They already have a large parking lot. There are virtually no signs out front and they need valet there not in back. Also, the rooms are quite small. The picture I saw of our room online showed a desk and there was no desk in the room. There was no place to sit down. For a room that was nearly $400 a night, you'd expect at least a decent chair.
