As others have said, definitely not for anyone who is not 100% comfortable with stairs.

Stairs were hard for us … we’re in our 70s but anyone younger wouldn’t find it an issue .. would have liked Bathroom on the bedroom level

GBLocation is brilliant on the bank in Barnard Castle .living room is super comfortable spacious and beautifully decorated and furnished . Comfortable beds .
Bathroom is clean and quite adequate but could do with updating .
GBCentral to town and spacious. We were comfortable in the lounge and the kitchen was well stocked altho the lighting was very poor in the kitchen even with 2 lamps lit.
We had problems with electricity on arrival but this was rectified quickly by the owners. We felt the bathroom was a bit tired and small and didn't like the step in the bathroom. It was easy to forget there was a step. We struggled to put our toiletries anywhere
GBThe living room was great with some nice touches. Lovely and central for walking to town, and people and weather watching from the window. Lovely and warm, plenty of heating. Washing and tumble dryer, although I didn't use them. Dishwasher I did use. Big fridge freezer It was clean.
I couldn't decide whether this property was always unkempt in places or whether it was being revived, and they had rented it to me partly done. The kitchen was dated and scruffy. No decent crockery, only 2 breakfast bowls. It was like it had all rejects from their house. Cutlery was sparse, too. No decent serving bowls . Terrible lightning in the kitchen. The bathroom had a shower, but there was a hole behind it, so I wouldn't use it. Scruffy around the bath. Shower rail looked like it could fall down. It's a shame but it felt the place was unloved. There were so many things that needed doing or finishing. When I go away I expect somewhere to be the same or better then my own place. This wasn't. There were some nice bits but for my mum 80th it wasn't great. It wasn't the treat I expected. Pillows in spare room are cheap and useless, but quilt was lovely. The place needs some love.
