Kura Kura House was exceptional. From the moment we walked in it was like a tropical paradise. We were warmly greeted and shown to our outstanding rooms. The deluxe villa was very comfortable, great bed, fresh water dispenser and a huge luxurious bathroom. A great balcony to sit on and watch the sun go down. The pool was beautifully landscaped, cool and big. A great place to sit and read a book. The food at the cafe was above and beyond anything we had tried in the area. The staff were incredibly helpful from tips about travel and knowledge about the local area. We couldn’t thank them enough for how welcomed we felt from every staff member. Beautiful place with beautiful people. All the little touches made Kura Kura House an amazing place to stay. You won’t be disappointed.

Kura Kura House is a home away from home. From the moment we checked in we were made to feel welcome & looked after. This boutique style accommodation is tastefully decorated, comfortable & spacious. The rooms are well designed with all the mods & cons - large TV with Netflix, hot & cold water on tap, super comfy bed, awesome bathroom & private outside sitting area. The magnesium swimming pool is fantastic as is the infrared sauna & ice bath. Breakfast is a choice of delicious meals from smoothie bowls, brekky salad & local fresh tropical fruit. Yum yum yum. The restaurant offers a wide array of fresh, local, delicious meals. You really don’t need to go anywhere else. The location is perfect. Walking distance to the beach & a short drive to other beaches & local surfing spots & sights. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Everything was perfect. Bezzy & her team have thought of everything & we miss them already.

I loved everything about Kura Kura.

I would give 10 stars if I could — we absolutely loved Kura Kura House. The property, swimming pool and grounds are beautiful, more so than what the photos show. Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, with everything working perfectly. I’m not usually one for eating in the hotel, but Kura Kura’s food is so fresh and delicious, we ate here multiple times. Could walk to Yo-yos or 9 mins on the scooter. Staff were great. Honestly Kura Kura felt like a luxury experience at such good value. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful relaxed gardening area, large pool, sauna and ice bath are included in the room rate, which is incredible! Nistia has delivered outstanding service! The restaurant serves amazing food.

Really lovely resort well situated near surf and beautiful nature of Western Sumbawa. Surrounded by a beautiful garden setting with pool and shaded areas to relax if surfing isn’t your priority. Substantial breakfast included (Excellent fruit, local options, coffee, and great menu overall). Beautiful bungalows, spacious bathrooms, comfortable and good smelling everything. Staff very friendly and attentive. Excellent value and experience. Thank you team :)

Small thing in the end but there was a public event with music one night that we wish we had been aware of when booking, as it was a bit of a surprise, since Kura Kura house looks very much like a rather quiet retreat (and mostly was during our stay - which is why we were drawn to it to begin with) It’s great to have events, but we only were notified upon arrival. Being offered ear plugs or a reduction for the one night would have been a good alternative. It was loud only until 00:30 and was promptly wrapped up. In the end it was OK, and the hosts were accommodating. Growing pains I think.

I loved my stay at Kura Kura house! You can tell that the owner Bezzy, but also the team with Trixie, Kookaburra and the rest is experienced in hospitality. The whole property is well maintained, super clean, the garden is beautiful, my room was serviced every single day(!) and the food is exceptional. They also organized a motorbike for me and my trip back to Lombok. Thank you team Kura Kura!

The location is a bit further in the back of the town, but actually this was a pro for me since it was quiet. You can be at the beach in 5 minutes walking distance
