Beautiful apartment in the heart of Rochester

no fridge, amount of stars, drafty windows, no plug for sink bathroom

Very central and easy accessible to public transportation. shops and restaurants. Spacious and the kitchen had everything I needed. Secured and safe. Host was very nice and welcoming. The access to WiFi and Netflix was a great.

The bed was not very comfortable. The windows are single glazed and don’t seem close as a result you could hear the noise. The apartment needs attention to detail for cleanliness.

The property is right on the High Street with a view of the train station (a 5 min walk away), and yet, the flat is quiet even on a Saturday night. It is close to the Cathedral, Castle and the Medway so you only need a light day pack to walk around as you can nip back in within a few minutes of the key attractions in town.

Nothing important really. I couldn't get the TV remote to work, but I was out most of the time so it was not really an issue for this trip.

Single glazed windows so quite noisy

Location was perfect - you could not be in a better position. Ideal for the high street, George Vaults, Cathedral, Castle and Corn Exchange. Like a hotel you can pop downstairs in the morning for breakfast as there is a Costa and a pub serving great cooked breakfast ideal if you don't want to do self catering, however, it is also fully equipped if you did. Contact with host was good and we were met at the door with the keys. I would say this property is ideal for an overnight stay for an event or for a short stay to explore the area.

Please note there are several flights of stairs to the flat - fine for short stay but would be more difficult if you were bringing cases/packing for a week (though there is plenty of storage space once you are in the apartment). Would also like to see an handrail to the internal staircase especially if you were elderly or unstable on stairs. The common area staircase is looking quite tired and worn, but dont let that put you off as the apartment itself is lovely. I'm 6ft 2" and found that as it is a period property the headroom in the loft bathroom is limited, which means that it is difficult for a tall person to use the shower, not a huge issue and the bath is plenty big enough.

It was in a great location, the bed was so comfy and I didn’t hear any loud noises when sleeping in the evening on a Saturday night. The heating worked and there was Netflix on the tv.

I didn’t like that it was a bit grumby in areas. Didn’t feel that clean in the living area/ kitchen. Tea towels were stained, wallpaper peeling off the wall in kitchen. No handles on the cupboards. No kitchen roll. Very basic kitchen necessities. There is a crack in the bedroom window which had been tapped up.

Excellent location for exploring Rochester, especially the Christmas Market.

The whole place needs a lick of paint, a deep clean, replacement of windows that are either broken or cracked - just some money investing in the place to modernise the interior.
