The Little Barn

Another amazing stay in this lovely place (also known as my little piece of heaven). As soon as I pull onto the driveway my shoulders drop and I instantly start to relax. I genuinely never want to leave. Caron and Guy are the most wonderful hosts (as are their two beautiful dogs). They are so warm and welcoming but without being intrusive. The barn is set in the most stunning grounds, I particularly love sitting by the pond in the morning with a coffee, just listening to the sounds of nature, it’s so peaceful and tranquil. There’s also a beautiful little woodland behind the barn where you can take a walk or sit on one of the benches and just relax. If you’re lucky you might even see a deer or Julie, the resident hen (who is extremely sweet) At night the sky is so dark but the barn and the fences have fairy lights dotted around which just adds to the beauty and tranquility. The barn itself is gorgeous, you can truly see how much thought, love and care has put into decorating and furnishing it. Everything has been thought of to ensure you have the most relaxing stay possible (don’t get me started on how comfy the bed is!!) Despite being called The 'Little' Barn, the way it has been laid out doesn't make it feel little at all. It’s perfect. This is the first time I’ve stayed when we’ve had good weather and the provision of the fan was very welcome and helped keep the barn lovely and cool. I can also say it’s lovely and warm in the colder weather. It always feels like a home from home and whenever I leave I have to make sure I book another stay as soon as possible so that I have something to look forward to. Can’t wait to be back again in a couple of months!

Pleasant grounds, nice for small children and dogs with the gated fencing. The barn was very clean and modern, comfortable living space.

The barn was very hot. Caron kindly provided a fan to help try and cool the space.

Everything it is simply beautiful and the owners are lovely hosts would highly recommend ❤️

The cutest little barn! Such a beautiful peaceful rural location. Hosts were great, lots of great recommendations on arrival for food, dog walks, things to do near by. Barn had everything you`d need, really comfy, super clean,perfectly decorated & dog friendly Highly recommend & we certainly hope to visit again

I honestly don't know where to start! I was looking for a tranquil little nature retreat for a couple of days for myself and came across this and loved the pics. As soon as I got through the gates it feels like you were entering a different world. You drive past the koi carp pond and lavenender borders. Then you have the duck pond and see the gorgeous lawns and The Little Barn. Stunning. I was met by Caron and Guy who are the most amazing hosts I've met. So down to earth, kind, interesting and humble people. They showed me around the little secure woodland at the back then the beautiful barn. It has a high end finish and everything you need to not even have to leave the property for the stay (remember it's self catering). It had a lovely welcome hamper and chocolates on my pillows. The bed was amazing! I sat outside well into the night in a deckchair looking at the fairy lights all around and the stars! Stunning sky, unpolluted with lights. I had the sun the whole time and there is a veranda on the barn but also another seating area and little benches in the woodland behind. I took a deckchair in to there and shared my morning with a pair of squirrels and the birds. I felt completely calm, serene, pampered (being there in luxury) and revitalised when I left there today.  The hosts have poured their heart and souls and clever brains into this place and you feel it when you are there. I haven't stayed in a place like this before that ticks everybox and about 50 more that I didn't even know I needed. I recommend this to anyone! Can't wait to return!
