"Staying on the farm at the Stables was great craic"

10.0

Kerry and her husband are excellent hosts. The milk, dried flowers and bath salts all made the hot bath special. The freshly laid eggs, butter and milk, the sourdough bread and dips for us. We bought two of the Pizzas Kerry made and they were delicious. The chickens, ducks, pigmy goats and donkeys add a lovely feel to the place. Its relaxing and a place to chill and enjoy yourself. They even gave us free wood and fire lighters for the indoor stove/fire. The robes for the outdoor bath are ideal, cosy, warm and great to dry yourself on. We loved our stay here and will 100% be returning.

Having to go home after out time was over was the only negative. We didnt want to leave.. For some people being on a country farm may not be for them. This is not a hotel stay, B&B or a luxery Spa. Its a fun experience of outdoor life on a farm. If you know what you are booking and go with the right attitude you will have great craic at the Stables. Great location for Strangford Lough and the Ards Pennisula. Kerry will go out of her way to make you welcome and provide what you need for an enjoyable stay but just remember its a farm in the country that you are choosing to stay on, if you are prepared for that you will have a wonderful time like we did.

"The place there you reconnect with the nature"

10.0

We had the most wonderful stay at Ballyward Croft for my birthday, and it truly turned into an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, it felt like the perfect little escape from everyday life. The mini farm is absolutely charming – with goats, donkeys, ducks, and chickens all adding to the peaceful, countryside atmosphere. It’s such a special place to relax, unwind, and reconnect with nature.

"Fantastic couldn’t have asked for any better."

10.0

We liked everything about the property. The host was superb couldn’t have asked for any better.Kerry and her husband greeted us like members of there own family upon arrival. They brought us complimentary free range eggs and homemade sourdough bread as soon as we entered our accommodation. They Made us feel more welcome than many of the other places we’ve stayed.accommodation was immaculately clean and had everything we needed to settle in well and have a comfortable stay.not to mention the food that was provided for a very reasonable fee was as close to a 5 star restaurant that you can get.absolutely amazing place with amazing people hosting. Will come back again for sure!

"Cosy, lovely, warm, smooth and romantic stay away from city"

10.0

Tub can be refilled as many time you want and the location was amazing with a lovely host.

Just the barbecue place could do with a good clean or could be replaced. Apart from that everything was spot on. I have visited this place couple of months ago and also let the host how I felt about the barbecue. I’m hoping it should be amended now.

"Overall our stay was very enjoyable and excellent value for money!!"

8.0

Lovely little set up, great location for what we had planned (Greba Gardens, Ballywalter beach and Mount Stewart), and a supermarket nearby with hot food deli was fab for hot a breakfast without the cooking! The stables had everything you’d need for a short stay, kitchen fully equipped, towels, robes for the tub, the outside bath tub was such a novel experience and loved the homemade bath soak and salts! It was just so nice relaxing in the evening with the fire pit going and the birds chirping without the chlorine smell. Complimentary sourdough bread and dips and other chocolate/crisps/tea/coffee/eggs and bottle of Prosecco left was such a lovely touch!! Bed was clean and very comfortable and decent hot shower. Properly situated on a lane which was lovely for a walk with the dog, who also enjoyed her stay!

Not much at all to fault. My only comment is the that general outside area of the stables and beyond was a little unkempt. The enclosed front “yard” of the stables could have done with being swept/power washed, or even some paving would make it prettier than the concrete base, and building material and weeds behind the property (only noticed cos I went looking for the dog) took away from the overall experience, but that’s just me being very particular. With a little more attention to the outside details, such as a repaint of the woodwork from the dark brown to something more “zen”, some more potted plants, urns with olive trees in, an outdoor mirror or 2 or outdoor rug if paving too expensive to do, would really have added to the “relaxation” factor and would def warrant charging more for the stay. I hope this comment doesn’t cause offence, I personally love all things home/garden/interiors and have a bad habit of mentally re-decorating everywhere I go 🙈🙈
