DANU HOUSE UBUD

Mita was perfect - constantly checking in, asking after us etc. We liked that the property was located within their family compound - gives it a more genuine, personal vibe. Whatever shortcomings of the property are made up for by Mita's warmth.

The bathrooms were not great - there's always a musty smell and a certain dankness. Not sure if it's just the layout or if it's a cleanliness issue. I think overall the property would benefit from a general refurbishment to patch some things up.

Très spacieux, calme, aménagé avec goût. Une belle sensation de haut de gamme dans un environnement familial. L accueil était très chaleureux, et l hôte, Mita a été aux petits soins tout au long du séjour. Emplacement proche du centre mais très au calme, en retrait, ce qui n est pas négligeable à Ubud.

Vsechno bylo perfektni. Hostitelka byla velmi mila a pecujici. Cela jeji rodina byla velmi prijemna a navozovala perfektni rodinou atmosferu. Mita nam zaridila anglicky mluviciho ridice, masaze na pokoj. Cokoli jsme potrebovali nam poradila. Vybaveni bylo plne dostacujici, ubytovani je kousek od centra.

Vse bylo super.

Superbe! Lieu très bien situé pour visiter Ubud et les alentours . Mita est d’une gentillesse extraordinaire .. elle est aux petits soins pour nous apporter tout ce dont nous avons besoin. La villa est soignée et très belle , confortable .. Je recommande à 1000%!

We had a delightful stay at Danu House in Ubud. It is situated at the back of the family compound which is a few minutes walk from the busy main road. So it is lovely and quiet, without any traffic noise, your own little retreat after a days adventuring or shopping! The facilities are excellent, with a fridge, mineral water and a washing machine. The pool is lovely and refreshing. By far the best thing about Danu House are the people. Mita, your hostess, is amazing. Nothing is too much and she is the sweetest person. She organised tickets to shows, delicious breakfast each day and even brought me young coconut juice when I wasn’t feeling well one day. Her father in law Nyoman Danu lends his name to the unit and was happy to drive us around to all the sites, and it was lovely to meet Ketut who looked after the little shop at the front. Cannot recommend this place enough, will definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at this villa! The location was perfect—just a 10-minute walk to the main road with plenty of restaurants, local markets, and Ubud Palace nearby. Mita was a lovely and welcoming host, serving delicious breakfasts each morning and going out of her way to help us organise drivers and activities. The villa itself was spacious and relaxing, with two comfortable upstairs bedrooms (each with its own bathroom) and a well-designed downstairs living area. The private pool was a great bonus—perfect for cooling off after exploring. Highly recommended!

We liked staying with mita and her family, she is a very welcoming host who tried hard with lots of thoughtful touches to make our stay as nice as possible. Breakfast was lovely.

The property gets no sun at all apart from a tiny little bit on one balcony so the pool is quite cold and there is nowhere to sunbathe.

En el interior de una casa balinesa, un auténtico remanso de paz. Piscina (aunque un poco fría en la época en la que fuimos). Habitaciones amplias y camas muy cómodas Muy buena atención. Lo suficientemente alejada del bullicio del centro de Ubud pero perfectamente accesible a pie (15 min) Un par de buenos restaurantes muy ricos a poca distancia

Necesita algunas reparaciones, sobre todo en relación a la humedad (cuando llovía uno de los baños tenía una gotera y se mojaba el suelo). Intenso olor a humedad en el salón (en la planta baja)

Mika welcomed us like we were family ❤️ she has a beautiful soul, unfortunately due to the pollution in Ubud, we were not able to stay for long. Mika was very understanding and offered us any help we needed. Amazing location if you want to be right in the middle of Ubud. Great silver making shop directly opposite Danu house.

Nothing we didn’t like about the property other than the pool was a little too cold for us.
