MAGIC TERRACE by Design Studio

Vew from the terrace is very beautiful and romantic.

House is far away from Varena centre. Will be better if have in a house cycle 🚲 or electric scuter.

Very pretty and spacious, high ceilings, big comfy beds and STUNNING view, terrace seemed lovely too (we didn’t really use it), has most of what you might need - TV, crockery and cutlery, microwave, Nespresso machine, kettle, iron + ironing board, hairdryer, even washing machine + liquid, plenty extra pillows and blankets

This isn’t anything to do with the property itself but probably good for other travelers to be aware of - in October there’s only one restaurant that’s just a min away (we’d say pricey but so is most of what one can find around Como), the nearest restaurants are in Varenna - 25-30min walk away along a main road, there’s 2 very small shops in Varenna that aren’t open for too long and are some of the priciest we have ever been to. Totally get that we visited in what’s basically low season and that’s what the destination provides

We didn’t have our own parking

The bathroom door didn’t lock or close easily The parasol and cover for outdoor in pictures was missing and only small parasol which was a pity for the hot sunny days

The location and the view is great. Despite cleaning staff being in the apartment at arrival time the apartment was not clean when we arrived. However, the host company did send the cleaning staff back to vacuum clean the apartment.

The place is being sold as ˋMAGIC TERRASSE’ but there is nothing ´magic´ about the terrasse and it does not match the pictures. The pictures show a big umbrella to provide shade for everyone, but in reality there is only a very small beach umbrella. It meant it was too hot to stay on the terrasse all afternoon. When asking the host company to provide an new umbrella they answered that the big umbrella was broken by previous guests and no solution was offered. Furthermore the terrasse was dirty, untidy and full of weed. We pointed this out to the host company, but they did not answer. With this, the apartment is overpriced.
