Magic of Avalon

Location.

The small, plain room I was in. Cost per night felt expensive for what it was on basic 1st impression (though *was* part of a large airy house). I later found B&B guest may use kitchen & main (public?) space, where lovely open view is. My room (#3) - almost entirely filled by bed. Narrow floor-space. No cupboard, just hooks. No chair to rest in. No surface to write at. Felt constricted. This room faced out just below road-level, looking directly onto the side of a parked car.... I'd assumed, staying on The Roman Way meant, waking up to the Somerset Levels view it is famous for! booked months ahead, love the area... had looked forward. Wish I'd thought to check.

Great view from the roof terrace and living room towards the Glastonbury Tor. Very great host Jenni who helped me finding my ways during my stay.

I absolutely loved the view of the Tor and surrounding property from the deck and also adored the gardens in the backyard. The bed was comfortable, the shower had copious warmth, and the owner is a jewel. She has created a library of amazing books and the shared space is very welcoming with tons of light and beautiful plants making the space feel very alive. I would stay with Jenni again and again !🙏

My only slight inconvenience was walking home late at night in the rain. The walk was delightful, I just wished the weather would have cooperated a bit more.

The house was so warm and cozy. Lots of space to relax, cook and it was so quiet and comfortable. Great communication from host. I loved my daily walks into town and to the sacred wells. I slept SO well in that heavenly bed!

The location and views were the best.

Sharing a bathroom with people in two other rooms.

Very comfortable and relaxing the balcony at the back was amazing with views of the tor
